ok. i got some cool ones (otherwise i wouldn't have started the thread, lol):

boy george.....when we arrived in england, our house was next door to the o'dowds. i was in the same class as his bro and went on to sing in his band too although his voice was too similar to george's and he wasn't gay and interesting, lol.

barry gibb....my ex got in a drunken chat with him when we were at langan's brasserie in london. there was an awesome transexual magician who entertained the tables who went on to become well known...fay presto.

kate bush...she lived in the same area. i secretly stalked and emulated her every move. met her once when she signed my album in a music store in brighton...she was wearing a gawjuss blue sequinned jacket and i was the weird kid with braces and glasses that stared at her a little too long.....shameface 😢

jools holland...he came to the small spanish village i used to live in to stay with one of his musicians who has a place there. he's a bit full of himself.

spike milligan...omg, i was really young cos he's been dead a looooong time...he was kind of ranting into a beer at a local pub....manic depressive, like many comedians.

glen tilbrook, lead singer of an english band called 'squeeze'....used to swish his hair around alot at local pubs in a 'look at me i'm famous' kinda way.

nigel benn the boxer....he lived in the same street as me and my ex. his house was almost entirely onyx and gold...pure bling. lovely wife...great kids who went to state school. he is actually pretty small in real but you wouldn't tell him that to his face. i bumped into him once at the local diy store, lol....nigel benn diy expert with those hammer hands—

chris eubank..another boxer. bumped into him when i took shelter from the rain in a shop doorway in central london. saw the cravat and cane and recognised him immediately.

oh yeah...how could i forget an occasion when i was with my ex and some of his clients in a posh restaurant in london called 'l'escargot'. there were four of us...two couples and we were pretty drunk when a large family party came in all dressed to the nines. we recognised one of the women but couldn't decide if it was the actress frances tomelty, ex of sting or judy lowe, the actress widow of an english actor richard beckinsale.

we were having a very loud debate about who it was and it had deteriorated to chucking huge sugar lumps at eachother (we were at the coffee and port stage). so my ex, who actually had his trousers round his ankles for reasons i can't remember, pulled them up and staggered over to the family's table. he presented his cigarette packet to the woman to get her autograph...thus cunningly determining who she was, lol.

when she signed it, he yelled over....'it's judy lowe!!'.....then saying...'it's her daughter kate's 16th birthday party...bring DRINKS for katie waiter!!'

it wasn't long before two burly men hooked him up by his armpits and carried him out, all the while he was say...'you can't throw me out!! i'm a good friend of judy lowe's!!'

LOL his douchbaggery was very amusing at times. omg, i wonder if kate beckinsale remembers that incident from her 16th!

edward woodward is cool...so was nik for a few years, good songs...but cliff? i've always wondered if it's true that he has a colostomy bag. if you see him again, could you ask him for me?

i almost forgot i saw one of the most famous people on the planet at victoria station. paul mccartney no less. he was walking across the station pulling a trolley bag with another trolley bag on his arm...aka heather mills! i think he was helping her walk properly lol.

i was the only one who seemed to notice! the brits are so conservative.

oh bling...do you know robert kilroy-silk? he was on a plane from spain to london...when we were disembarking, he started a debate/rant about how we should all be back in the uk paying tax into the system. he had been holidaying in his second home in marbella. a huge bloke said to him 'shut yer cakehole, no-one gives a fuck' right in his face. it worked,lol..had it not been for the perma-tan, his face would've drained of colour, lol.

uh-oh..this kinda shows my age but when i was 15, my school (which was a lot like st trinians) used to do judo at the crystal palace sports centre...actually, brian jacks the olympic medalist was our instructor, lol. we arrived one day...a coach load of unruly 15 year old girls with stupid hats on...and we saw the wrestler 'big daddY' going into the foyer. we all shrieked....'hello big daddie, we love you!!' (even though we didn't really) and he turned round, and while giving us the finger told us to go fuck ourselves! our sports mistress was outraged, lol.

the great thing about getting older is you have soooooo many stories. i've realised i'm at an age where i am potentially the office bore. i can sense people becoming restless and their eyes glazing over with boredom, lol.

i love arnie. there's something great about him. he's always become the best he can be and i love that. he was mr universe or something when he was a body builder...then a high box office earning actor...now in the most senior political role an immigrant can hold in the US. that's pretty awesome and says a lot about the kind of man he is.

my dad is anthony hopkins' double. it's always freaked me out since i was a kid cos they are exactly the same. he does a great hannibal lecter impression....well, it's funny the first time at least lol.
