Lying Friend

So one of my friends at work is a gemini. Totally thought had my back for the years she has been here.

Her boss asked her to ask me if my department would be covering the lines of their department while they are away at an event.

I told gemini to tell her boss no we aren't because we have our own events going on at the same time. But all I said was no and that we were just going to put a sign up for any visitors that come in.

She told her boss that I said "no" in a pretty frank way.

When that's not how I said it at all but when I found out that's how she put it to her boss. I got pissed.

Because I have a great reputation here and I don't want perceptions to change because someone was moronic and didn't understand what they were actually saying.

So I let my boss no and he kinda shrugged it off and said that (the gemini's boss) isn't going to do anything at all.

So what would you do about her?

Here we go a good example of the pitfalls of women working together it turns into a mess. You probably said what you said in a demanding condescending tone to the Gemini you may not think you have after working with a Scorpio girl for a couple years I have an idea.

You know damn well you are not going to let this go you will be stewing on it and things will turn into an ugly mess you have to walk away. Walking away will be tough for you, every time you see this Gemini girl it will bring back the memory you will start stewing. So after this happened did you go and have a little pout? lol

I laugh I know where this is going to go you two will end up hating each other the Gemini can let things go and act like nothing happened you on the other hand have your stinger up you want to sting the s*** out this girl. I bet revenge is already rolling through your head.

Walk away what's done is done move on.

I'm going to try and answer everyone.

I didn't even say it in a frank way. I said "no I wasn't going to" in the middle of us having a joking conversation about a few work related things.

THe #2 problem is, she knows we had two events going on we just had a conversation about it an hour before this current issue but yet she failed to mention that to her boss?

So where did the "frankness" thing come from?!!?

I did neither! What i did was notify my boss and he said that gemini's boss isn't going to do anything.

Then I left to go do a presentation and here I am back!

I was contemplating on saying something but i figured nothing she is gonna say is going to change the fact it "actually" happened.

She is kinda dingy so i shouldn't be surprised.

@thisiscrap2. Gems have two faces. It was only a matter of time before she presented her 'ugly'. If I were In your position I would feed her a very very long spoon Ie keep her at arms length, demote her from 'friend' to 'aquaintance' and watch my back...

I think i should be doing that anyway, the department she works in... they spend their time chit chatting, sitting on their asses doing nothing, boasting about everything they have going on in their lives, or talking shit about each other behind their back.

I only go in there if i have to use their printer (my department's printer is broken) and once i'm done printing i stay in my office.

So i'll stay in my area as much as possible and figure out a way to get our printer working!

Her department sound so typical of Gems.. 'full of hot air'... They 'talk the talk' but they cant 'walk the walk'..

Her department is mostly females but it has:

- Women: 2 Gemini, Pisces, Libra, Leo, aquarius (I don't know the other 2 women's signs)

- Men: Aquarius, Libra

This is such a joke, you go from her being your friend who you believed had your back for all the years you've known her and in all those years.... What nothing happened, she never showed you her ugly. Nor did you pick up on her horrible ways.

Now it's not just her, but her whole department....after all these years. Right

and to top it off, she's dingy. lol So you want to have your own a Gemini betrayed me experience. you don't even know how you come across.

Nothing. You did say no. You didn't offer an explanation, was your friend suppose to make one up? Smh. Take some responsibility. It's also not a big deal. If you're sweating it that hard you could always talk to the Gem's boss and simply say "hey sorry we couldn't help you out with the event the other day, we had our own event to cover. How did it turn out btw?" Rep still intact.

She did lie she told her boss that I was being Frank about it and i adamently said NO! and that I was going to do whatever it is that i wanted to do kinda comment.

wehn that's not even how the conversation went down. In the middle of a joking conversation we were haivng she brought it up again and while we were laughing I said no that we weren't going to and she asked if she needed for us to put a sign up and i said no that we were going toh andle it.

Where in that did WE (meaning me, my colleagues and our boss or anyone in the department i work in) turn into ME refusing to do anything. I don't make the calls for my department. She knwos that and she also knew that we were busy with two events that same day as well.

Why didn't any of that pop up?

How am i analyzing it people on dxp such as yourself keep commenting on it. If people stopped commenting the conversation/post would be over. I haven't thought about it since it happened a few days ago so dont fucking say shit just cause you naturally have a stick up your ass.

Because its not my responsibility. It's my boss' responsibility. Plus i just fell into being the messenger re: this specific situation. I am not my departments messenger role wise lol. Plus its weird as it is that he asked her to ask me when he should be asking my boss.

her boss keeps doing that. Telling me things he should be telling MY boss.
