Manipulation

Scorpio sun, Capricorn moon, that's me. I've been described as a master manipulator. If I don't have any particular feelings for you, then I do it to avoid accountability. Because rules don't apply to me. I'm not above anyone or anything, I'm just apart from it. It has nothing to do with entitlement. That's the background and usual motive.

I get accused of being manipulative to people I love, even when my actual intentions are quite pure. And in actuality, I've learned that manipulation is not a bad thing in and of itself. It is either good or bad based on how it's used.

Sure some would argue that it's dishonest, but if you have a solid understanding of people around you, then you tend to also know the likely results from their natural actions, and you, as a caring manipulator, can do your best to curve the odds positively.

See how manipulation can be used for good?

I had to address this because I realized how embedded manipulation is within me. It's not a weakness or a strength really, it just is. And I think it is this way for other Scorpios and Capricorns. It is simply a character trait that should be accepted and realized. People are very quick to judge manipulators and it doesn't seem right when it's a trait that is simply a part of some people.

I know this sounds kind of prick-like. I, for once, am not trying to come off that way. But the course of my life has proven to me that rules really tend not to apply to me.

Caring manipulator: nudging someone out of harm's way because you know them through and through and you know that their persisting in a course of action will blow up in their face.

Plus, you know they'll come crying to you afterwards and juuuust this once you don't wanna have a wet shoulder.

Ha, astrologically speaking scorps are known to be manipulators. Which means they aren't any good at it (because it is a well known fact that they are manipulators... mind twister there).

The 11th and 12th sign, THAT'S where the action is (because these two hang around just about ANYONE so they sort of know every trick in the book and every mark. Few use this power for bad, though so...).

scorpio sun, capricorn moon, that's me. LOL. though i think my mercury in scorp has an advantage over yours in sag. i've never been accused of manipulating. hehe, you could be a bit more slick!

and caring manipulator? elaborate a little more on that. if you know a person's natural actions and reactions and so "curve the odds positively" - how is that caring about the other person? the odds are now "positive" for you thus making you quite selfish/out for your own gain.

and anyway, manipulation is just a skill that on some days i'm proud of, lol, but i prefer to keep it as something i'm capable of and earn karma points. it's just a party trick!

What isn't selfish, really? Love? Good deeds? The fact that you stand to get something in return makes both selfish things to do, depending on your perspective.

And whether or not your manipulation steers someone you care about out of harm's way you still stand to gain something i.e. "you failed, I'm a better human being than you"

Yup, removing all labels and relationships like lover, parent-child etc that's all life boils down to, really: me me ME.

Ah, life... gotta love it.

I just - I'm getting old, ya know, and my priorities are changing. I don't want to accept what sounds easy anymore.

I want to get to the bottom of things, no matter how ugly. The truth.

Love is a good thing, your parents and siblings want you to succeed, and your lover isn't with you because you make him/her look good (although this last one I'm a little unsure of still... Doh! Sorry!).

Go back one and those stuffy old goat people are probably the best, as either no one thinks they exist or they get ignored for the most part.

Capricorns are mad ambitious, though. crazily so. And what's funny is it isn't entirely clear what drives 'em.

Apart from the overbearingness, I think the 'caring manipulation' is alright if intentions are pure and integrity is there. I know someone with this combi (in the houses), and they don't ever have bad intentions - the intentions are what counts - it is not always self centred.

I have met true manipulators - they don't even recognise it in themselves, nor does the inner struggle of their ethics ever cross their mind.

Some of the naturally manipulative signs I've met that get away with it are aqua, pisces, cancer and virgo. I think it's because no one expects it or sees it, then the shit hits the fan and everyone around is like "WTF? Where did that side of them come from?"

Scorpios are too honest about their dark side most of the time, which causes people to think badly of us before even understanding us. Aqua comes off sociable, happy and caring. Pisces, self-sacrificing, sweet even saintly. Cancer, loving, kind and altruistic. Virgo strong, thoughtful and sensible. I'd agree with the sentiment that people expect manipulation from a cappy or scorp but not from others, therefore nullifying a lot of the actual manipulation.

I've never been accused of being manipulative, well ever really haha. Most new friends are surprised to find out I'm a scorpio. I have used peoples emotions before to twist logic or words to my advantage, darker times in my life. But I think everyone does that at some point in their life. Some are just better(or worse, depending on how you see it haha) than others. But I'm one of those people who thinks a persons natural inclination is towards selfishness and selflessness is a learned behavior haha.
