Would just like to know another scorpion's point of view on this. Or if they know themselves inside out very well. Why are 'we' portrayed and a negative/dark star sign?

This! — make others uncomfortable.

From my own experience I know that people recognize others who have strong Pluto or Scorpio influence in their chart, i.e. Scorpio sun, Ascendant, moon, Pluto in the 1rst house or Sun in the 8th house.
Scorpionic types have some very observing and make people feel like they can see literally through them. That's when people start to project negative things into you. Nobody likes to be read like a book just at the first time you meet. It makes one feel —naked?? and vulnerable.
I experienced this scenario a few times myself. I made others feel uncomfortable (by doing —nothing??) and they reacted with rejection. I was also told that I am hard read. So others don't know what to expect from you (unpredictability) and that's what people usually scares.

I forgot to add: Scorpionic or Plutonic types have a strong presence. When they enter a room, they don't need to say: —Hello, I'm there!??. People just notice them. That's another reason why others feel intimidated first.

I myself love to be with Scorpionic types. Ever since I can remember, Scorpios had and have a special role in my life. My first 3 best friends were Scorpios. We formed the friendship at the age of only three. I'm now over 20 and we are still very good friends and spend time together.

Sad, but true. This is the easy (superficial) way, but comfortable. It's totally worth it to take your time to get to know a Scorpio and allow them to decide whether they want to open up or not, because:

Scorpios are extremely loyal 🙂 When the rest of the world turned the back on you, they would still keep to you. That makes them for me exceptional and a positive sign.

I think maybe because we can be very intense and that may make others uncomfortable. Although I don't see that as negative. My friend told me that when I first met her husband I intimidated him and all I said was hi!

Snap! I'm always smiling and say hi but i later find out that some ppl here at work found it hard to approach me which i didnt get why lol..

Overall, I think I'm a positive person and tend to look at the "brighter" side of things (must be all the Leo and libra influence).

But, I am still a Scorpio and I still have that depth and darkness that comes with it. It creeps up once in a while and I do tend to have moments of being very critical and negative/cynical. It's these moments that allow me to appreciate it in others.
I love sarcasm, dark humor, people who question things when "too positive" or sounding too naive. British humor is my favorite for same reason.

Moments when I am too negative: very few have the art to successfully get me out... So, I get myself out.

But I love it when someone can handle it... I REALLY appreciate it and never forget it!

I'm like that too.. I'm always positive around people, smile, and a good conversation and take on tasks at work positively.. but if work does get too much, I do have a lil tantrum but get over it and get on with my work. When I'm overwhelmed by emotions or that lil dark side comes out, i do keep that to myself. Kind of stay quiet or step away from people around me including family members.

I have learned to see the positive side of life and work through the darkness and in doing so my life is so much easier and relaxed, still getting there though!!

Re the negativity, i tend to live by this quote that was given to me by a healer friend of mine ~~

Thats really well put.. I've come at a stage in my life where i have learnt to forgive and let go. Its really not worth the stress or hassle.
