WHY ARE YOU JEALOUS?
I love you.
WHAT THE BUTTER.
I have a lot of work to do. I'm really busy.
BUT YOU ARE JEALOUS FOR NO REASON.
NO I AM NOT WITH ANOTHER GUY.
I'm doing my work so that I don't fail at life and become a bum.
STOP SAYING I AM WITH ANOTHER GUY.
WHY DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND I'M NOT MANIPULATING YOU?
I'm being honest. I HAVE NO TIME SOMETIMES TO DO ANYTHING.
And then you tell me that the time I spent explaining I have no time could be time spent with you.
NO...THAT IS WRANG!
Because I have to then get out of my lounging clothes, get into street clothes, wait for you, spend time, come back get out of street clothes, get into lounging clothes...and I'll be too tired to do the work that is PILING ON MY DESK BECAUSE I SPENT TO MUCH TIME WITH YOU ON THE FIRST PLACE.

So What do I do? How do you explain to someone that you care about that you care but that if being with them means losing your life's work then you are better off probably separating....WITHOUT SOUNDING LIKE A BUTTER? Which when I suggest to you that maybe we consider...YOU SAY I SOUND LIKE A BUTTER.

How long have you been together? Bringing up your day and saying how you thought of him may help.

I've found little emails during the 5 minutes you have picking at a salad/downing a coffee may help. Like ideas for celebration after the workload pauses for a bit. Or ideas for dinner, etc.

If it's within the first couple years of dating, usually Scorpio will settle down a bit with jealousy. Remember that it's hard not to be jealous about such a fabulous, driven woman. And he's not worried about you or questioning you - just EVERYONE ELSE.

I can't imagine the stress of being a lawyer. Keep yourself healthy! (ehh, excuse that - just the rehab reaction). Good luck and lucky lovings!

How crazy! I am a Leo woman dating a Scorpio man and this is very much like our relationship, except for the accusing of being with other men part. He wants to be with me every second of every day! And I felt so cornered and suffocated, like I really didn't have a choice BUT to see him that I got backed up in my work and other social areas in my life. I told him I needed a day or even afternoon to MYSELF, and he kind of flips - I start to see this obsessive behavior over the phone...like he always wants to know what I'm up to. He doesn't care if my best friend I am spending time with is a female, he still seems jealous of her even! I tried to explain I've been backed up from work and that I also like to spend time with my friends and family, but he is still smothering me! I like that I have his attention but it just makes me wonder if his paranoid behavior comes from HIM being shady O_o Whenever he talks about the future he makes sure to include me in his plans. I feel I've made it to his people I will keep forever list because of a small (and our first ever) argument we had - he was SO SCARED of losing me! It was amazing to see how dedicated he is to me...I've experienced about five other Scorpios before him and let me tell you, BAD! But anyways, I am still trying to find a way for him to understand I need and LOVE my space too - as smother as my Venus is Cancer is, my Aquarius moon also wants ALONE time and independence. Good luck! I think Leos and Scorps are the only ones who can bicker down each others' throat and not even flinch!

PERFECT POINT.

Even with the coldest remarks, we both can always glare and one up it.

And with the dedication, Scorpions will prove over any man for your love. I once told a Scorpion that I refused to stay with a mate unless they had their high school education, drivers license, a stable job, and going to college. Within a year he had achieved all of that.

I hope you find your balance with him too. It's a shame to lose that passion.

In a relationship w a leo, definitely not a scorp leo problem in itself. Try to explain to him that you aren't messing around solely because you love him and he should trust you, also given the demandd of the profession you are in you are very busy, but it isn't due to him. Maybe tell him to send you flowers at work or do littlevsubtle things like visit you at work for a brief amount of time so the possessiveness isn't so bad. This may help you, if he cannot understand this, you should move on and find someone more understanding.

Hey friend 🙂

Nice to see you back!! How are you??

Thanks! All your advice is great. And a special thanks for the "keep healthy" advice comment. I haven't been really eating well, or getting much sleep- but I guess the profession takes getting used to. It's strange because he says he understands, but I don't really think he does. I come off as the "typical selfish leo" a lot, when it's just that I really don't have many options regarding social activity and time. We've been seeing each other for about a year- There's a combination of deep affection + I don't really have much time to date other people either.
I'll try to explain as you guys advised...wish there were more hours in the day....let alone the week! lol

Oh dear! Eating decent helps the sanity and even helps sleep to be more refreshing. To be honest - I think Leos are very much effected when they don't put particular care into their diet. You can't be a superwoman when you're putting gas into a diesel engine. That's going to make you even less capable of keeping a calm hold on your relationship. Take your multivitamins and make sure you're getting enough b-12. Take one of those non-smelly red colored fish oil pills in the morning. Leos rule the heart and back. I'm sure you're feeling your stress in your back and your heart needs some attention. And quick snacks and processed foods kick up blood sugar for a bit and then when it crashes you get grumpy. Try to stick to apples and nuts for energy that lasts. Almonds are great for hair and skin.

I'm not trying to sound patronizing, and I hope you (as a fellow Lioness) understand where I'm coming from. You're a firecracker and don't deserve anything less - especially yourself!
It's always a battle for me to keep balanced with everything and keep on top of my health - so needless to say I've always kept on top of resources that aid with that balance. Please feel free to message me about it, health or stress related. Give yourself ammo for the war - not just the battle

@sheathedclaws; Not patronizing at all! Actually, it's absolutely sweet and caring. I've actually been really down lately but I haven't really spoken too much about it to anyone because I didn't want to be a bother. Sometimes it's difficult to make other's happy when you don't even have time for yourself anymore.

@Let*It*Be; You are right. Even though your comment wasn't exactly directed at me; Possessiveness is totally a red flag, and signs of negative behaviors are "no nos".

However, the real issue is how to tell someone that you love them but won't be able to see them for an extended period of time? Maybe even months?

trolltrain & sheathedclaws are right...an email does go a long way and only takes about 5 minutes. I'm glad to have the opportunity to listen to such good advice. 🙂

Try to at least let it out once a day - even here. Obviously nobody here finds it a burden or an issue, and everybody has their own problems but look at it from a different point of view (this is me channeling my Capricorn mother who has given me this talk a number if times, and it's just good to remind yourself of):

Put the whip down. You do not have to work yourself into the ground. You are one person. Don't beat yourself up and live up to expectations that nobody has ever lived to. Take a step back and don't be a martyr for your own cause and expectations - and stop trying to make everybody else happy. You are not a superhero nor signed up to be everyone's savior. Where's your happiness? What makes you think you deserve to be ignored? You're helping EVERYONE ELSE but yourself. You're never going to allow yourself to be happy if you keep on like this. Take a breath for yourself. When you feel stressed or on the edge just stop. If you're on the street driving just pull over for a bit - at work? Run out to the car or ladies room. And for one minute - one.. just shut your eyes, concentrate on the silence inside of yourself; just feel the pressure against your feet through the floor and the texture of your socks on your toes - wiggle them and take a slow, calming inhale through your nose and pause while you softly purse your lips and passively allow the air to release back outside of your being. Let that be your 'you' time. That only takes but a moment - and you're living in your skin for years .. so treat it well; don't abuse it.

Well the first half was Mom, the second half was taken over by my 'breath yoga' that I do with some patients. Guided breathing meditation does wonders for the mind (and I notice many fire and earth signs REALLY respond to it) - if you ever have a chance for a session, it's worth it.
