Scorpio man thinks I may be his perfect match

I recently had a passionate and sudden liaison with a gorgeous scorpio man - it was kind of an intense sudden attraction that we both felt we had to act on as he was due to leave...then he stayed another week and it stayed intense. He went away for a week, then returned for a few days before he really had to go.
The attraction was insane and he left here wondering if he can make it work. (There are distance and children challenges to consider)
He's been in contact and is quite upfront with me about how he feels about me (kind of a lot like how I feel about him 🙂.
Just wondering how this sits with a Scorpio...his DOB is 22/11/1960 and mine is 10/09/1963

Many (most even) reputable astrologers include November 22 in the Scorpio realm including Astrodienst and Cafe Astrology. Wikipedia also does. I agree that some dont.
My daughter is also born on this day and the general acceptance is Scorpio.

This sounds more like a hot fling to him than a potential serious relationship. He could've meant perfect short-term match.
Sorry, I just don't trust "sudden intense" attraction as an indicator of long term potential or even compatibility. Especially combined with distance and baggage.
I'd write this one off as a good time, but focus on local guys for something real.
It's not heavy baggage, he actually only spends time intermittently at his home town and is away a lot. My kids are in their final school year so...it's not impossible baggage.
I'm not focusing on local guys because I'm keen to leave here anyway in a year or so when the kids are gone - looking for a bit of adventure. I feel like i've been tied here too long and not tying myself any longer.
It was a good time whether anything happens next or not.

If he wants you badly enough, he'll find a way to make it work. If the connection was as intense as you say it was, he'll move heaven and earth to keep it.
Unless of course he's a bad scorp in which case he'll give you just enough to keep you hanging on so he can use you for some occasional self gratification.

I dont think he's a bad scorp. He is very well respected in his field and among friends.
Yesterday he said in regards to wanting to see me again "Maybe love we will have to make it happen".
He has the determination to move heaven and earth...now let's see if he does...
