solitude

Seeking solitude, what does it mean to you and especially Scorpios. Does it mean that they don't want friendship or get lonely? Which sign do you think seeks it the most and why.

I am cancer sun with leo moon and cancer rising. I seek solitude 98% of time 7 days a week, 30/31 days a month and 12 months a year! apart from me, the order goes like this - Pisces & Scorpio. My observation.

Solitude...this is nice - peaceful. I can only speak for myself of coarse but I enjoy being with me and doing the things I enjoy doing. This is not to say that I do not want friendships because I do however, I am selective as to whom I desire to share my time with. I choose to be around uplifting postive persons who bring out the best in me. I was not too long ago on a ride with a person who was the opposite..took the energy out of my sails which sort of kept my ship in the harbour....I am once again out sailing the seas bobbing up and down on the unexpected waves of life.

I don't believe that there is one sign that seeks solitude more than another as most of us need it to regroup, to find ourselves.

Being a capricorn we want to be alone, I have no idea as to how we stack up agianst the outher signs. With us its a matter of being bored. I can be someplace with a dozen people and all of a sudden I just want to be away from them. I can be in the middle of a conversation with some one and I know how it will end. I want to leave. there is a big differance between lonley and alone. I have had lonley days when I could not find a friend. but not often mostly my solitude is by choise.

solitude brings us in direct contact with our spiritual center. what all humans want to know and find out and possibly hear within ourselves...the meaning of life, or the meaning of our own life. we assume we can only hear that when we are alone. it seems to sound clearer then, because there is no outside interference. we sound right to ourselves, it feels right, even though the truth may come from someone or something else outside ourselves. it is a secure enviornment...solitude. no one to contradict us. solitude is the peaceful quiet in the world, that the higher power has bestowed upon us...and we are so greatful for it. life is hard and noisy.

Quick response to this thread...I am one of the most solitary people I know. Is it my sign? Maybe that has something to do with it, but I think our individual experiences influence how social we are, just as humans. I used to be *very* social, but I keep a lot more to myself these days. I might come back and be a bit more reflective on this thread. But I wanted to chime in for now.

Hello darkness my old friend, I come to talk with you agian.

Putting my 2 cents in here, probably where it's not wanted lol... You all know by now that I'm a Scorpio and since this addresses Scorps, I've just gotta do it 😛

I seek solitude quite often to gather myself - emotionally mostly. When things overwhelm me or I'm more irritated than I care to admit or wish to have anyone become a victim of lol, I will seek solitude. Sometimes though, I just need to turn off the world for a while... I'm kind of a private person to begin with and sometimes taking on all of the responsibilities I take on, including most often taking on other people's well being, which I tend to do more often than I care to admit lol, I tend to feel swamped and just need to shut everything off for a bit. I apologize to all those signs who I have inadvertently hurt in taking such action... It's nothing against you; you're all wonderful... It's just a self-preservation thing and believe me, it benefits us all lol.
