The Stages Of Scorpio (?)

I have often heard that there are many steps on the evolutionary ladder of the sign of Scorpio. Being one, I take a lot of interest in this. I can't seem to find much information about this particular subject on the Internet; I am wondering if any of you good people might have a link to a website which can tell me a lot more about this, or even just personal experience/knowledge on the subject. All I know, is that there are "lower" kinds of Scorpios and "higher" forms. Could someone please elaborate? Thank you so much.

From what I know of astrology, this is not unique to Scorpio.

As I understand it, there are three stages. The first being the most primitive...meeting the needs of the individual.

The second stage is social...learning and growing in relationships...family, friends and lovers.

The third stage is universal...the soul has grown and is able to contribute back to the universe in a positive manner...this is the ultimate stage for all signs.

It reminds me of Maslow's hierarchy of needs. The ultimate being self-actualization.

Star, thank you. It does seem that the last stage would certainly be a good level for all signs to aspire to reach. If I was to be honest about it, I think I am just coming out of the first stage and just coming into the second.
