the good and the bad

I only know one scorpio person and I must admit this person seemed a really deep emotional loving person who didnt wear their heart on their sleeve but hid it way deep inside. But then how many signs do wear their hearts on their sleeves. From reading the posts I would say that alot of scorpios seem really nice decent people but gee you guys are really hard to read. You's never give anything away and are so secret it is unreal. I suppose each sign has its bad points but scorpios seem to have the worst - sorry guys. I know there is good and bad in everyone and I'm not putting you's down but it would be nice if yous were more open.

We are all different depending on other influences. I for one, have a Sag rising and gemini moon which makes me very open and expressive of what is going on inside.
I too find that some of my scorpio brothers and sisters are too secretive. But being scorpio 2 I guess I understand it a little more. Revealing stuff about yourself makes you feel vulnerable and takes a great deal of trust to feel comfortable doing so.

There have been times when I feel that I have revealed too much and it was used against me. Well screw that!

how much we reveal about our true selves depends on the person we are opening up to. it all depends on how much we trust the person. i refuse to give anyone the opportunity to srew with my feelings, isn't that just clear thinking?

The issue is trust: Usually, Scorpios share more with people who don't pose a threat to them.

I think part of why we keep so much hidden, is because there is so much under the suface such as dark thoughts, extremes of emotion, and lots of fear, believe it or not. If we decide to reveal any of these things to another person, we risk not only being betrayed by that person and having them use our normally hidden weaknesses against us, but we also risk that person being completely freaked out by how "deep" we are or whatever. Not many people can handle an unfiltered Scorpio, I think. We are so scared of being betrayed or abandoned by that person we think we can share ourselves with, that we often just choose to share nothing at all. This is just my opinion, but as a Scorpio I think I might be right.

Your very eloquent when you speak about your feelings. It's hard to believe that anyone would not be warmed by the sensitivity and depth of your personality. If they are as you say 'freaking out', then they just don't appreciate what you and other Scorpios are all about. We are hard to get to know because there's so much to it. We have to go slow and test the waters. Once we do feel it's safe, you will have a friend or a lover never to forget. We can love someone unconditionally, and hope that it is returned.

WOW! Beautifully said, you two. I'm a scorpio woman with pisces moon and leo rising. My imaginations, feelings, passion, intuitions run deep sometimes leaving me insecure to announce what I see or feel... only to be ridiculed. Scorpios, are extremely sensitive people, and we see alot of things that other signs do not see...not to be "arrogant". Just honest...
