Venus in Scorpio
The need to be needed is a concept that belongs to Libra not Scorpio. To the extreme, Venus in Scorpio needs to control, needs to know he's the best psychologist for your problems because this is the way to maintain control over you. Should you not have emotional issues, there's no use for Venus in Scorp (or at least this is what it thinks), so it tries to maintain the emotional dependency. This isn't something they do consciously. Ppl born with Venus/Pluto haven't received that kindergarden vibe that their parents really wanted them. Or their parents used manipulation to give love, which confused the child. This is where it all comes from..
My scorpio with a venus in scorpio is fairly independent so I agree with resurrecting_a_leo. Libras are fairly needy. That sucks that he sulks like that. If he really does want emotional dependency from you he may always feel like you're not fully there for him.

Maybe it is the Libra in him then. Someone in the other post mentioned that the neediness was from Venus in Scorpio. He probably does feel like I'm not always there for him, and I'm not sure if I can do that neediness. So far it hasn't come on real strong, but I can see the undercurrents.

Might be, but libras tend to display more neediness than scorpios.
I'm only speaking from my own experience with a venus in scorpio who isn't at all needy

I'm going to chime in and agree with you. Because my husband is a venus in scorp with sun in scorpio.
although he has alot of fire and earth in his chart, he is incredibly independent. But because he's got that scorpio energy going on, he ALWAYS knows where i am, always close by even if i'm doing my own thing or he's doing his own thing. lol. he's definitely not needy. (except when he's really sick and needs to be babied) ;pclick to expand
Hahaha omg you just described my scorpio perfectly. He definitely has that scorpio intuition, just like my father. Sometimes I think he can read my mind. We do our own thing throughout the day, but we both talk to each other throughout just to say hi and inquire about how the others day is doing. I like that, independent, but there when I need him.
And yes he does like to be babied/cared for when he is sick. His stomachs been experiencing some sharp pains lately and I'm more than happy to be his nurse and provide him with things to make him feel better. It's what I do 🙂

He has not actually said I love you, but he has basically expressed it in other ways. He tells me he loves having sex with me, he loves hearing me laugh, he loves my hair, etc. The other day I said something about really liking what he was doing, and he said "I love this more than you'll ever know. I love it more than I tell you." And when we have sex, he'll say "oh, love me baby." So I definitely think he does strongly care for me even if he doesn't say the actual three words. I also wanted to ask about Venus in Scorpio needing to feel needed. I've been really busy at work lately and when we've talked and he asks what's up, I've been telling him about how crazy work has been, how stressed I've been, etc. I didn't think anything of it (just conversation), but he seemed to pull away a bit. And then when I did talk to him a few days later, he told me I seemed preoccupied and didn't have time for him. And then he asked if I was getting bored with him.
