I am a female Taurus, and this may or may not pertain to all Taurus's but any suggestions you may have would be greatly appreciated. Call it procrastination, call it just bored with it, or something from my past is causing me to be irresponsible. I've been employed for the State for 12 years. My dillemma is constantly being late (on average 10-15 minutes) which has not been a problem with any of my prior supervisors. This I know is not acceptable - beleive me I am not taking advantage of this. I'm a very hard, dedicated and responsible worker. November of last year, a break up with my boyfriend was an experience that was very trying and dramatizing. This jeopardized my ability to arrive on timeeven more so, if at all. I feel that I have lost respect from my co-workers, due to this crisis I was in. It has taken me 5 months to move out, purchase my own home and be rid of the ex. Yet, my lateness to work continues. Everyone, including myself is totally fed up with it. I tell myself every night to be on time - I have (no kidding!) 7 alarm clocks,a wake-up call from my cell phone as well as my girlfriend calling to wake me up. I've been written up, my salary is being docked pay for every minutes that I am late, and I have been suspended for 5 days. I am currently seeing a counselor to address this situation. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH ME!!! I do not want to be fired! One last thing, as you know Tauruses, when we are determined to do something and put our minds to it, We succeed. Why not for me in this situation--in desparate need of suggestions.

Well, I heard of people doing this before and if you wanted to make it there on time you would! Soemthing keeps you pushing the envelope. If you have to re-set every clock in your house ahead by an hour, then do that. I think it is a psychological trip! Like I said, if you wanted to get there on time, you would!!!

I am glad you are seeing someone about this! Give yourself more time to get going in the morning and stop lolly gagging in front of the computer! You have been at your job a long time, you must be very good at what you do! I hope you get some answers in therapy. Personally, I think you like to see how far you can push things and that you are more important than those you work with. Someone has to show up on time?

I am sorry about your break-up and that can be very distracting for a person!!!

Good Luck --I hope everything goes well!!!!

198,

I hope my vibes are wrong! Is everything ok, and did you get to work on time—

I was looking at what time you posted your message last night and it was very late!!! Maybe you're not gettng adequate rest. All the worrying about the job is keeping you awake. A vicious circle!

They(your supervisors) sound kind of anal where you work. Writing you up and suspending you for being late? You have been there so long! That is kind of harsh. Maybe you can take some time off and try and get yourself organized better.

Please let me know how it goes if you want to.

Troubled Taurus:

Seems that is happening to other Tauruses, including me....I have been self employed for 10 years, and I am on the brink of bankruptsy, and finding a job is very difficult nowadays, and I have had doubts about myself as well.
Frustrations in a relationship doesn't help things, either, and I wonder if subconsciously, it makes things more tense, which makes our productivity suffer. We don't like it when our structure becomes unstable, and I know it has even effected how I relate to friends and loved ones.
We do what we must, but if you truly want to keep the job, set them clocks up, hun. Getting new bosses is like starting a new job sometimes, and Tauruses can do it IF they truly want to. We both can overcome...

Hang in there, and good luck.

Dear Late Taurus,

Are u suffering from Depression? The reason I ask is I had some of these problems at one time in my life. I just didn't care. I tried medications, but none really worked for me. Even tried therapy. That didn't work either.

What has helped me more than anything is joining a gym. You will definately be ready for a good night sleep, and it really helps with stress/depression.

I hope you save your job. Goodluck Taurus.

198,

It you will be ok! "What will be, will be." You maybe going through some burn out and forcing things uncontiously for a needed change. If things take a turn for the worse than it is just your life going down the next road and it maybe something even better. Please stay positive and get some rest!

Have you gone to see a Doctor - A lot of people don't realize it - but they can have sleep apnea - in some cases they will fall asleep at the wheel. Very hard to carry on with your day when you have this - 2 members of my family have it - and life is hard for them. When you are tired all the time, it changes your whole outlook on life. They are on the machines, which helps a bit - but not fully. I would go and check it out.

Well count me in on this slump too. I believe we're all in one; an emotional one I might ad too. And to the above person who has posted about her troubles and sleeping late: Not getting enough sleep can really effect your outlook on life -- not to mention your well being. Things will appear more magnified and may not be seen in a good light. Try to stay off the computer a few hours before bed too; in order to wind down -- the computer can act as a stimulant.

get your a-- up and go to work....🙂 don't you have bills to pay......just kidding.

maybe you're going through depression because you're stating some symptoms of it. Depression can take over your whole life if you let it and don't seek help. It can affect your whole well-being, your finanical, family and social life. try and speak to someone close to you or seek counseling in the facet of the psychsocial realm.

Perhaps, you no longer like this job. Maybe is a sign that you need a change. So many people go through life, and never do what drives them or have a passion for something. I for one am still a dreamer and some people no longer have dreams or they feel they are unreachable. I would say find out what your passion is and try to find a job in that. If you really love a job, you will be happy to get there everyday and on time.
