Most people have routine even the so calles spontaneous signs have a routine. I've seen a group of sag n gems every friday on campus around 2 sitting in the same place, talkin about the same things they always talk infact I'm impresses by their consistency lol. As for me, I struggle to follow my own plans on how to spend my time during the day. The routine I follow without much fail is waking up in the morning, thinkin about the rest of my day. There are times I really appreciate routine and if it suits me I can stick with for long. When I eventually get bored, I try other things.

And I get the feeling that I'm the only one 😛

What causes this change, sheer boredom or something more? How long does it last until you get back to it?

what causes the change mainly for me is life changing, analyzing myself and cutting off that which no longer serves a purpose in my life and to my personal development. Boredom doesn't really affect as much as other people, I always have a desire in me to discard everything I know including routine. Once I break a routine or habit a veerry rarely get back to it, I don't believe in going backwards.

Routine is definitely a part of everyone's life, but astrology ties it so closely to Taurus (and other earth signs to a lesser extent) that my dislike towards it really surprises me. I enjoy the feeling of security but I don't necessarily tie it to routine.

But even in your everyday routine there is always something new to discover. Rare people have developed the ability to experience something that they've done a bunch of times like it's their first. This is something that I have to practice in my acting classes. You never do the same thing twice really. Boredom is a choice.

I'm the other way around. I have a routine and it's slowly driving me insane.

that only happens if you're not getting results.

IMO.

No I think you're right now that I think about it. There are days when I have my little accomplishments and having to go to the same place/do the same stuff each and every day suddenly doesn't seem so bad. But the excitement of accomplishment doesn't last long for me, tomorrow it doesn't matter anymore. It's like I need a new mountain to climb every day. So your theory is partially right for me I guess.

Same here, routines drive me insane but I'm finding out that nothing gets done unless I have a routine and I can't be crazy and spontaneous unless I have a routine. Routine also help my mind plan things out better without it i'm all over the place.

Ah you have a Sag Moon, it's like a more impulsive version of Aqua Moon from what I've seen. Personally I have my head up in the clouds much more frequently than your avarge Taurus, I can imagine s Sag Moon being similar. Sometimes I wish for someone to just lock me up in a room with nothing but work in front of me so I have no choice but to get down to it! 😄

You can actually hate routine, but get stuck in it, because your too lazy to do anything to break the cycle. That's my problem. I get comfortable with it because its easy, even though I hate it, its boring me, destroying my life, eating my soul, etc.

god, hahaha. I really can't imagine being that lazy. I'm really not lazy unless I have to do something that I really don't want to - and if that's the case than no one could make me do it. I'd jump out the window or something. Even when I'm just chilling somewhere I at least listen to the radio and gather info about what's going on in the town. Information 24/7. It's definitely Gemini Mercury doing this to me.

But that's why when I decide to relax... I'm an unstoppable force! 😄

I'm always doing something mentally. Like for instance today at work in my boring cubicle job (the routine I hate), I'm "working", but also reading DXP, reading random astrology sites, listening to music, listening to a documentary on youtube, etc. But what I should be doing is looking for other jobs because this one bores the hell out of me. Its just my routine though. I wake up, go to work, get coffee, and bury my soul in my cubicle. Plus I'd have to take a major pay cut to switch fields at this point for my main job, and that would be....less comfortable 😢.

Well if your current job is really putting you down, idk how old you are but imo it's never too late to take a different route. Try imagining yourself doing it for the rest of your life and if you shiver at the thought just a bit it might be a good idea to start making some new plans, haha. If you know what you're doing that is, I'm not a supporter of decisions too reckless. It's scary esp. for a Taurus but it's better for you and everyone around you to do what makes you happy, yes, even at the expense of your paycheck *hands over her Taurus card*

Unless you're earnng a buch of money with your current job, than you can just wait (and god knows we're good at waiting) until you have enough in the bank to start your own business 😛

Oh btw I ran across your doodles in the arts forum. You're really, REALLY good. Should be publishing comics if you're not already.

Thx - I do freelance stuff, but nothing steady. I wanted to get into concept art, but starting salaries are about 1/3 of what I can make in my cubicle. For now, money is definitely the issue. My Sag is very successful though, and just got a great position, so once we pay down some of her ridiculous debt, with our combined income, I might be able to take a pay cut. I'm 35 though; clock is ticking. Kinda late in life to switch fields IMO. We'll see....
