I hate it when people have become jealous of me but now that i'm envious of someone else it's the worst feeling in the world. I never express my envy but that just intensifies the feeling. My solution is to improve my circumstances for my greater good and ignore what others have or have done.

We all want what others have. Trust me they want what you have.

Well I have certain goals that I want to see accomplished in my life and it unnerves me to see others with that same goal completed and I haven't started yet.

Same. All of my friends/past friends lives are moving forward, they're going places and doing things. My life just isn't going anywhere right now and i'm feeling kinda envious. I'm still very happy for them and proud of them, though.
To ease the jealousy, try and think of what you DO have and how much you love it.

Yes. "Count your blessings" so to speak.

True.

(No, not a Taurus... just a Taurus asc)

But you're right-- if you put pen to paper and take stock of what you're grateful for, you usually have a lot more than you initially realized.

Good stuff.

Ah, I thought you were referring to romantic blah blah blah.

Anyway, I've never felt that type of jealousy. Well, when I was eight, I was jealous of people who had quarters 'cauze they could buy stuff from the red machines, but that's when I was a kid. 😆 As an adult, I just think, "What can I do to be better?" when it's something I care about because a guitarist who is actually really good said in an interview that there's always room for improvement and you could always be better. See? Even people who are thought highly of feel this, and maybe this is why they are so good.

It's a poisonous state of mind and you need to shake yourself out of it. What someone else has managed to do in life should never be the measuring stick in which you base your own value, you'll never find happiness that way. We're all on different paths facing different obstacles.

But, if you want something out of this world then you have to go out and work for it, and probably fail many times along the way. Some people get what they want more easily, but never assume it'll be that way for you. Never feel sorry for yourself because someone always has it worse.

Most of the ways we compare ourselves to others with are just illusions anyway, constructs of society based on money, titles, or something else that has nothing to do with your heart, good deeds, or how you made someone else feel.

It's a state of mind that I don't want to be in but right now I'm going through a rough patch and my head is buried in the sand. On one hand I don't want to do anything and on the other hand if I stop I'll never attain my goals and the jealousy will only grow.

Start these goals already. What's holding you back?

a few reasons, passiveness, procrastination, perfectionist and I've sat down and reflected on my life for the past 7 years. I think I spent that time living to help others with their goals to the detriment of my personal goals.

Let me know if you get that figured out. I've given up.

lol... always had those symptoms but I've always had the discipline to snap out of it whether I wanted to or not... I guess this is my life long struggle.

Get to your goals already people. If you want something inspiring that'll help you reach your goal, you all should most definitely read The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. It's very inspiring and it's an international bestseller book. Humans, no matter what sign, have the capabilities to start reaching their goals anytime they want. Too much reasons, just do it already. It's not nice dying with some wishes that aren't granted.

Like how Anthon St. Maarten would put it, Dare to dream! If you did not have the capability to make your wildest wishes come true, your mind would not have the capacity to conjure such ideas in the first place. There is no limitation on what you can potentially achieve, except for the limitation you choose to impose on your own imagination.

My pleasure. Just don't come crying with puffy eyes to dxpnet when you decide your goals aren't important because you're disappointed and scared. To sum it up, don't be a sissy and don't pee on your pants when there are super-challenging obstacles. The rewards are worth it. Make your mommy proud.

After you reach your goals, you have the permission to get a happily-ever-after, for there's nothing holding your back and makes you think stupid annoying what ifs. Then get a spouse with nothing in your mind except for some really fine lovin'.
Like what the Bible said, Enjoy life with the woman whom you love all the days of your fleeting life which He has given to you under the sun; for this is your reward.

Then people will envy you. Then it's your turn to kick their pants.
