Should I try?

Is it typical for taurus man (26 years old) to be kind and nice for a girl (20 years old) he doesn't know well (we are just colleagues from work and never had any oportunity for real talk) and say something like "hi beautiful" when he reach out to her? He even told me compliment once. I was talking with my friends from work and they told me that he was nice to them but never as nice as he was to me (they never heard any compliment or that they are pretty from him). I had red a lot about tauruses and noticed that one day he is nice and sweet and next time I see him he's just cool and distant. I really like him... a lot. I found out that he had quite the job about a week ago. it made me cry because I realised that I may never see him again. Is this possible that he likes me more like a girl than just a co-worker—

Should I try to contact with him somehow? On fb for example? He's not often on Facebook. Or maybe I just should let it go?
