very sensitive situation you got on your hands there...
talk to him, not about what people think and maintaining your position and growth, because that will sound like you're interested in doing WHATEVER with him...
- If you don't want his advances, talk to him in a matter of fact way that he is not being professional and stuff...then consider getting outside parties involved like HR, court, the issue is proof...he can deny it - he stands to lose a lot more in his position

Does this behavoir seem odd for a taurus?

He did this in front of the whole company HR included and they said and did nothing. Apparently, if he likes you this is MO but it was never sexual just affectionate and warm. He is a very nice man and good to his employees.
It's the Christmas party; not the office. What dictates how you react to him is if he makes advances more than just putting his hand on your shoulder at the party. My boss grabbed my hand at my company party over the weekend and led me to the dancefloor. It's a festive time and nothing wrong with being festive.
It would however be a different story if my boss grabbed my hand and led me somewhere in the office.
Don't overthink the party, but if he makes advances in the office, then speak up.

Taurus not only pulls me in a huddle when ever he sees me, and places his hand on my shoulder to say good job! Last night as I was leaving he and my boss were in a huddle so I went over to say goodnight he slips his hand into mine and proceeds to hold mine in his the whole time then he asks me to dance in front the whole company!
