This one girl I'm completely in love with told me that I was one of the sweetest guys in the world and that I have restored her faith in mankind. Of course I was extremely flattered to hear such a thing come from HER, but to my knowledge, she isn't single, she told me that she had been "working her way into a relationship" with some guy. I don't know if she's still with him, but she made it sound as if it wasn't that big of a deal to her. I just wanted to know what YOU guys think she meant when she said those words to me. Thanks a lot, see you along the path of the unknown road.

Do you know what her astrological sign is, by any chance? I'm curious.

My initial impression is that she is probably being honest with you, but you should realize that you have every right in the world to ask her what her relationship status is (if you're interested in her as more than a friend). Maybe things with this other guy aren't at all serious, or maybe she's unsure of who she should be with. In any case, I think you should just ask her (in a polite way). She won't be offended simply because you asked. I just think it's always better to start off any kind of relationship, whether just friendship or more, with as much upfront-ness and honesty as possible, otherwise things could get murky fast, and spiral downward.
