I plugged my phone into my car charger after work because it was dead (talked to The Virgo all day on my office phone because of this), had to run run a few errands and threw it into my purse (after a short charge), it died in the mean time while I was out. Now The Virgo is raising a stink about me not taking his call (because it was dead, hello—) He now is suggesting I must have someone else. Good GOD!!! Are you all so naive or insecure—?

i can see insecure, but naive? what?

if a guy i was seeing and liked said that to me, i'd giggle and tell him how sweet it is that he worries like that. that's adorable.

tell him to buy you a spare battery so it won't happen again.

i wonder what tone of voice you used. when people lie, they use either the "i can't believe you'd say that" shock voice or the "hahaha you're paranoid, you loser" voice. or you just had a different tone than you usually do, which is often reason enough for someone who is already worried to assume someone is lying.

getting mad just makes you look guilty. it's not fair, but it's true.

I am pretty sure your retort to him is the problem.

If you responded so aggressive and defensive of your situatation, then you have done nothing to calm his insecurity.

As opposed to not panicking, sitting him down calm and comfortably and taking your time to explain things.

Capricorns are prone to panic and condescending tones in my experiences. Neither of which would sooth a Virgo, only aggravates us further.

Adorable not! Not for a man in his 40s!!

I just groaned and told him that was not the case, his insistence that he thought he had been replaced maybe was to just yank my chain, or to see where I stood (this would not be the first time I felt he was somehow testing me to gauge my response). He stopped when I reminded him that if I was interested in someone else and wasn't so into him I wouldn't go out of my way for him (which I have - and have been all week trying to help him get something cleared up so he doesn't get screwed).
