Another Question About Virgo Guys (EXTREME VIRGO)
Its not as complicated as you imagine things, he may simply just not be a phone/text person. Just because he's with you it doesnt mean he has to become a phone person like yourself. Im a Virgo sun, moon and Mercury too and my longest relationship was with a moon in Aries girl, one piece of advice I could give you is: if you want this to work between you two you will HAVE to cultivate patience and tact and he will HAVE to grow a thicker skin not to resent you for things you probably would never imagine he would. Also watch out for that tyrannical and dominating Aries tendency and constant need for arguments. Virgos usually strive for a peaceful relationship even if some of the things we do end up taking us right on to the opposite direction!

Admittedly I think my Taurus sun/mercury/rising is enough to temper any need for 'arguments', I'm not one for confrontation unless I've been disrespected long enough to warrant it. In fact that's why I want to know about the resentments, so I can avoid it.

Admittedly not long, I met him a few weeks to a month ago. I know it isn't much and I am usually a lot more patient, but that's cause the guys are usually eager and I'm the one who slows things down! Since I initiated contact with him by getting his number from a mutual friend (an utter first for me) I don't feel as secure in this relationship as I usually am. Plus with him being a slow virgo I'm sitting on my hands just to avoid exposing how anxious he is making me!

Since his actions does not compare with your previous experiences with other guys, you're not going to find any answers there so I think it's best to drop the comparison; keep doing so will just leave you with more questions. His behaviors obviously did not match yours for a reason so we have to ask, without biases and previous conceptions, why is he not reciprocating?
In general, there are a TON of reasons why, but I'll try to focus on Virgo-related reasons because that's what you're here for.
For a Virgo to enter into a union, the foundation has to be Strong. In order to build the strength of this foundation, it requires communication. But because he is not giving you that, this kind of leads me to believe that the reason he's not is: 1. He's just not that sure about you, 2. There's no progress in getting to know someone new from far away.
In the instance that they are not sure, they at the very least will consistently (I don't mean once a month either) communicate with you to get to know you better, but never do they just disappear. If they ever do, it's more or less hopeless at that point. But from what I understand from the information you've given me, it seems that the Virgo was interested/intrigued by you because he was communicating with you before you took off for your 3 month internship (correct me if I'm wrong) so not everything is lost. This does lead to my second point about the distance in communication and explains why it came to a stifling halt. Virgo is, first and foremost, practical. Communicating long distance is impractical for many reasons, but one that is VERY important to him and that is his TIME. A Virgo will see this as ill-timing and likely, would much prefer you focus on your goals and him, his. So from his perspective, if the time is not ideal to build a strong foundation (just like how contractors do not begin construction in the Winter), it should wait. And yes, because they are so mental, if waiting makes sense, they will wait.
So you currently have some odds against you until you are back in town. But, when you return and if his communication with you is consistent, he's quite fond of you.

In fact the universe seems to conspire to prove just how right you are. I rarely check my e-mails but yesterday night I got this sudden urge to. Low and behold I received a message from him. It was more than a few paragraphs long, funny and sweet. He took the opportunity to answer a number of questions he ignored, dismissed or gave one-worded replies - all without my prodding.
Man, I KNEW my Aries is making me impatient, that I should just hold my horses when it comes to Virguys! I am so glad I got my neurosis out on you guys rather than him. Let him believe I am sane for just a wee bit longer! 😛
I think you're absolutely right about timing as well, especially in terms of not wanting to waste time when he could be focusing on something else. He kept commenting about how bad our timing was so you definitely hit the nail on the head! Apparently texting is not his preferred method of textual communication but email is, just so he can have the time to answer things fully and with decorative flourish. ...This guy is putting me to shame, but he is definitely teaching me a lot about myself too.
Considering the fact that he is still communicating, despite the slowness of it all, suggests that he may indeed be fond of me - at least according to what you wrote. He even mentioned what he wanted to do when I finally fly home.

A good starting guide with Virgos is to not expect words; instead, pay attention to actions. Dealing with Virgos has taught me so many valuable lessons! Most importantly, being keen and unassuming is a really good approach with them.
In regards to turn-ons, the most important is definitely intelligence! A way to a Cancer's heart is through his stomach as a way to a Virgo's heart is through his mind.
Some personal attributes to have that will mystify your Virgo includes: an independent woman, a woman with passion (not just in bed, but in life as well 😉), goals and aspirations, level headed-ness, health and fitness, polite (especially towards him), good manners, tidy, well dressed, personal progress/improvements is a definite PLUS...
