Does this Virgo man like me more than as a friend?

I'm starting to have feelings for a virgo man at work and I think (hope) he feels the same way:
We chat (not work related) almost every day, sometimes for nearly a hour over the course of the day although he is very guarded and private about himself
He sometimes blurts out random questions at me so I can talk about myself i.e. "tell me about your family" etc
He remembers little tiny details I tell him and brings it up weeks later
He relays his work related problems to me, I know he's told me some issues he's having that he's not told anyone else
He asks me for my opinion on a career change he's considering
He listens to my problems and reassures me, he's very kind if I'm stressed or under pressure
He defends me on work related matters when he doesn't have to
We have long running little private jokes between us, he teases me, I tease him about silly things...

I'm hoping some of the virgos can give me an insight in to him and if you think he considers me a friend or there is something more—

I've known him for about a 18 months although we've only came close in the last 5 or 6 months.
He has told me a few times he knows he can talk to me as he can trust me.
I've not given him my personal numbers, he's not asked but he will sometimes ring me from home if he knows I'm working late.
I'm a Taurus.

He has been talking about a new job or retraining but I'm not sure if he's actively looking, I know he's not happy at the minute. It's possible he's waiting until he finds something else, I think the work thing is a concern for him. He's well known as being very professional and knowing how private he is I'm sure he would HATE being the subject of office gossip/rumours. We're in different departments though so I don't think our jobs would be really affected.
