How dependent are you on astrology?

When you first meet a person, do you try to characterise them to a star sign so they become something you are familiar with? Yes it is stereotyping but stereotyping is not a bad thing because its needed for quick assessments on the fly. Making an initial assessment to have some sort of hypothesis

If you have prior knowledge of a person's sign, do you already have a prediction of the future? Such as if you like the sign then you put all your effort but if you dont like a sign, you dismiss them?

Or do you as a Virgo avoid assumption and use astrology as a likelihood (tendency) rather than being set in concrete? After waiting for information that gives their characterisation or someway find out their sign, do you wait to see how much they match their sign? Then from here, you can make a decision of whether to let them exist or bar them from your social circle?

When I meet someone,I don't chase down what sign they are, because it would give me a pre-assessment of how they might be.Many people that I have extended interactions with,I have not tried to guess ,because I would always look at them sign-wise instead of person-wise.Then I would expecting them to act like their sign instead of what their current motivations are.I mean someone could be a Scorp but raised in a houseful of Leos,or they might have more degrees in ,say their rise or moon rather than in their sun sign.

If someone intrigues me,I'll try to find out their sign as to why I am drawn to or have a conflict with them. Then I say that's why they........along with other factors in them that I know about. One gal I used to work with, she had issues, she was very cold.I found out she had a troubled youth. All she needed was kindness. We aren"t best buds, but I can understand her and she has let down some of her walls. She actually has a sense of humor.

I'll use Astrology more for a situation that a person. If I am having a meeting with someone,I'll try to postpone it to my advantage or present my ideas when the aspects are favorable. It makes for a smoother time.As far as seeing future events goes,it's more of a personality type thing or just where I found them on a certain place/level/mindset in their life. For example if someone doesn't like to follow directions, they will always try to do something their way, trying to force it their way, even when a situation doesn't call for it.They will usually be found in a ditch somewhere trying to pry that bear trap off of their butt.

I try not to "bar" them from me based solely on sign, because imo ,if you keep attracting a certain sign, there is something that you need to learn from them. When you have learned that lesson, the attraction lessens. And they seems to cycle out of your life.Every sign has a different filter on the world,so they may be able to get something done, that would take me awhile to accomplish.Just be diplomatic all the way around, you never knows who knows who.Unless ,you figure you can 100% live without what they and their friends are dishing out.I judge more by the vibrations or energy that I feel from a person. There is always more under the surface that meets the eye.

All of the above? lol

I set out to try and guess their sign from behaviour and conversation. Then after a while, if I know I am unlikely to see them again I ask their birthdate otherwise I let things pan out for a few weeks.

I have been getting better, around 65-70% correct rate in guessing.

I have been trying to nail appearance too, by looking at the common physical features which is a lot more challenging.

I had my natal chart tattooed on my girlfriend. I dont take astrology too serious though.

I joke.

I dont read a horoscope, i do sometimes check out a monthly forecast but dont write down notes.
This week I did try and get free food at the bakery using stuff in my chart and it worked on Wednesday. No I didnt steal it. lol.
At any rate, its just for fun, but i will say, Im a believer of aspects and influences. The stuff fascinates me, thanks to the many answers it has provided me. But I dont "live" by astrology.

Do any of you (and does it really work) when you read stuff like...i.e.
"Todays Moon is in Gemini...a good time to go on a date."
Do you feel that stuff like that is real?
