Think before act sure makes sense

so does that apply to everyone, as married couples? when i walk in the day after a long day of work and see my husband, i instinctively give him a hug. should i take a few minutes and analyze the situation first before i give my husband a hug?

My wife do...so yes ...😉 j/k

I've got this Virgo friend at work who would probably say it was a curse...but then, again, she's very proud (as she should be) of her skills and the level at which she operates on the job, so maybe not. However, she's constantly running into interpersonal problems (particularly with my boss) because she foresees a lot of problems way before anyone else and notices a lot of niggling errors in others' work. As an example, people will sometimes remark, "If you see _______, run like hell." On the one hand, I can see others being lazy, and on the other, I understand we only have an eight-hour work day, and sometimes less important details need to be de-prioritized. But overall, I admire her skill set.

Everything in moderation is never really a curse, but if you overdo it, it can really take over your life in the worst of ways. For me personally, analyzing is great in certain cases where I want to get down to the very key points, so to speak. However, I often hate how analytical I can become. I'm a highly anxious individual, to the point where I was taking medication for it, so overanalyzing was honestly like the death of me.

From my experience I think it has to do with not getting enough attention and reassurance as a child growing up, so that instead of launching confidently into new experiences there is the tendency to be suspicious of/feel threatened by challenging/unexpected situations/developments, and the analysis is both a delaying tactic to give us time to feel comfortable with the new reality and a way of trying to defuse feelings of threat/incomprehension. As we all know, though (or as we all SHOULD know), "too much analysis leads to paralysis", and I think that this is an ever-present danger for Virgos!
