I believe that when a virgo male tells a woman he's in love with her and his friends 90% of the time he does...you see, when he has strong feelings for her he backs off, my guess would be he's afraid of being hurt and I also know for a fact that he feels that he wouldn't mount up to your expectations of "being the boyfriend" they also tend to cling to materialistic and sexual active women.
