Aqua and Scopio

What is it about this combination... so wrong on so many levels yet very magnetic. Is it the challenge that intrigues us? Are you a scorp in love with an aqua or vice versa? What advice would you give to someone in the same situation? I love my aqua man and we have been together for years but sometimes I wonder what it is that keeps us together because it definitely isn't that easy connection like it would be if it was water and water or air and air. The loyalty, commitment, and dedication is extremely strong between us, of both being fixed signs. Somehow it works even when it shouldn't. Any aqua & scorp couples out there that have it figured out and are still going strong?

I've dated a Aqua and I have had several best friends who are Aquas.

From what I've seen Aquas don't feel afraid of how closed off Scorpios can be. If anything I think they enjoy it and the challenge. My childhood best friend, Tomi is an Aqua and I've watched her take great joy in hugging me even when I try to avoid it. It was this openness and stubbornness that had me opening up to her. She did this with me and Willy, a good Scorpio friend. She enjoyed the challenge of befriending us and I'm not sure we would have been friends had she not pursued it. I was pretty much in my head back then, uncaring about the people around me.

They're the water bearers they seem to be more tolerant of water signs and don't mind our quirks. This makes it easier I think to weather some of the storms that can occur.

I think it's better to not fall in love with a Aqua they make great friends but I don't think they make good lovers for Scorps. I wouldn't do it again but I love having them as best friends.

The only real complaint I have is they don't seem to know how to tell time. They're always late or never show up...I have to keep on them nagging almost everything to make sure they show up on time. Or they show up at midnight to hang out..it's interesting.

I agree SugeredSap, Aquas and Scorps make better friends. I have had a number of good Aqua friends, there is definitely a strong connection. I believe that the two signs tend to be very intelligent because aquarius is honest and calls it like they see it and scorpio likes to delve beneath the exterior to get to what is truly at the core and hates fakeness, in this way they are very compatible. Their loyalty and devotion to the people they care about makes them great together as well. But there are so many differences in how they do things that it could work against a romantic relationship. I feel like they come to the same conclusions but they path they take to get there is so different that they don't understand each other along the way.

aqua and scorp NOT good unless other placements show lots of HARMONY.

I met several Scorpio men in the past and i didnt feel nothing but platonic, but they are wonderful peeps.

i had a bff growing up too.

so even if you and them gravitate, there has to be Chemistry no matter what.

i can be platonic and feel nothing for lots of people out there, but meh....

On a more serious note, it really depends on the venus/mars compatibility. Those are intrinsic to the way we fall in love and behave in our relationships.

Am an Aqua , dated a scorpio back in varsity. We broke up cause he beat me up once. But then we we were not even serious but I loved him too much , and he loved me too. He begged me to take him back the whole year but I could bug. We kept in contact even after varsity, but the I met someone and had a child, when I informed him he was happy for me. The connection never end between us two.

@Flo what is your relationship like? How long have you been together? Which gender is each sign? I think a scorp aqua relationship can be different depending on the genders the signs are due to the different ways the qualities manifest themselves (@Gennie, I totally agree). @lisabethur8 I agree as well that in general the combination is not harmonious, and very reliant upon other placements (and overall maturity) of the individuals. @Gennie, it seems our venus and mars are compatible- that is his aqua venus with my aqua mars, but i have a capricorn venus and he has libra mars. @Aquastic, I'm sorry to hear about how that scorpio treated you. It is true that there is some undeniable connection between aqua and scorp. For me, personally, many scorpio men scare me. Being a scorpio woman, I know how intense and passionate scorpios can be and I have always worked on being more mellow and not letting my emotions take over. I have a virgo moon which I think makes me less emotionally driven like some other scorpios and it grounds me, that and my aqua mars help me be more objective and to strive for self control. However, I think some scorpios can become very out of control and I have seen that in some of them and it has always kept me away. I think that scorpio passion manifested along with a man's aggression can be very difficult.

@Gennie, interesting! I don't know much about Aqua venus, I think this is the first time I have been with this placement. It sounds kind of nice, I mean obviously one would want harmony but I don't know maybe it's my scorpio sun that likes the idea of that "everything" kind of love you described: good, bad, ugly. I feel like that's a real love, the kind that goes through and withstands everything. And still wants more. I feel like that's me and my aqua. No matter what, we stick together. For two people who had so little in common at first we sure as hell held on tight. And we have brought out aspects in each other that we didn't know we had, in a way we have learned from each other and become more alike.

@Katarinaserene an Aqua in Venus wants to be surprised by their lover in small ways. That's why its best paired with an Aquarius, Aries or Cancer SUN. Those signs combined with the ViAQ placement are ideally suited to encourage personal growth and change in their partner to keep things fresh. Meanwhile, a ViAQ needs to be loved by someone who isn't too much held in earth or water, they resist change, sudden or otherwise and the ViAQ finds themselves feeling chained to a brick.

That's an interesting take. My Scorpio and I are dividing territory and deciding who will bow whose head to what. The negotiating process is interesting.
