Aquarius is the sign of the brotherhood of man. It has an all-inclusive quality to it. Massive world change is the Aquarian energy at work. Aquarius likes to upset the carefully maintained status quo. It's mission is to topple old fogey institutions and pioneer new ideas. Ingenious or unusual ideas. The ruling planet Uranus is an accelerating force. Aquarian energy brings sudden flashes of intuitive insight at lightening speed. This is a detached mental sign. One must be willing to cut old ties and attachments in order to ring in the new and progressive ways. They have a reputation for being rebellious and this rebellion has two faces. That which rebels for the sole sake of shock value, vs. rebellion against old rules and regulations which have outlived their usefulness. The Aquarius battle plan is to ..... Sneak up on the enemy and surprise attack. This is a sudden and unpredictable energy.
Aquarians need their freedom. The freedom to feel self-sufficient. They need to feel like they can walk away even within the confines of a group function. And yet, there is often an attraction for the group effort. Especially those that have humanitarian agendas. They understand that there is power in numbers when it comes to creating big changes. If Aquarius is fixed on anything it's their opinions. Once they decide to rock the world and how best to carry this out, they can move forth with fierce determination. Alas, though, all too often the world reform remains in the mental realm of thoughts and ideas.
Often an Aquarian goes through a life experience that teaches them the value of being different; of breaking away from the group mind. Some accomplish this with relative ease and even embrace the concept, while others face painful experiences which simply leave them with no other alternative. Aquarius can teach us about functioning cooperatively within the group while at the same time maintaining our sense of individuality.
Pure Aquarius energy is ..... * original and inventive * lots of unusual ideas * friendly but somewhat detached * can be extremely opinionated and/or stubborn * acts with great determination to carry out reform * cooperative and group-oriented * can be unemotional/cold/aloof/ rebellious or eccentric * out of step with "normal" society * highly individualistic * intellectual
The House with Aquarius on the cusp can be unpredictable or unusual.

ftmp, I do my own thing. I did the fit in thing, that was suffocating. I've done the hermit..kinda lonely. I am me and whoever accepts can come along for the ride whoever does not will get left behind.
I knew one personally, he screwed his self over because of it. He was too stubborn to stop it when he could. He's probably one of the smartest guys Ive ever met...too bad...
The novelty does wear off and it just gets annoying.
prime...i prefer Flag over the rest...i love it there! but, i went to U of A, so i have a lot of great memories in T-town. Most Phoenicians hate Tucson...and i understand it is a little ghetto in comparison, but there something about it that makes me feel good. ahhh...
well, i did grow up as a teenager in Phoenix, and then i went to school in Tucson...i just have alot of great memories of Tucson, but that is probably because it was my college years.
I teeter between the hermit Aqua and the rebel FOR a cause Aqua 🙂 But no I'm more the humanitarian Aqua really. I fight for causes and I try to do it well. And I'm always observing, experimenting, learning, expanding my intellectual horizons...it never ends really..I can get into a comfortable routine very easily which causes me to be the hermit Aqua and just research everything then I end up just dreaming about everything which isn't good. But every now and then I'll shake things up a bit and make me people go crazy. I need the fun even if I have to end up insulting someone to get a laugh, really I'm just bored, it's nothing personal.
