Dirty socks, clean Cars

My Aquarian hubby, whom i love dearly, has an impecable sense of cleanliness... for his CAR. He washes it twice, sometimes thrice a week, and it smells like the day he bought it. BUT! If i were to leave him for a couple of days and come back, our apartment would resemble one of the scenes from a famous steven king's horror film. Socks everywhere, toilet tissue roll IN THE KITCHEN, ketchup bottle lying on the bed (why?). I have tried talking to him about it, and he says that it is just not important to him. I have even gone as far as not cleaning anything for 2 weeks, and he was just as relaxed as ever, stepping over towels and socks (urghhhhhhhhh!), then i couldn't take it anymore, so i started to clean up. He seemed to get a little guilty, then he pitched in.

The only thing i seem to get to work for him to help more in chores is to put the SILENT TREATMENT on his arse! I act all emotionless, not kiss him when he reaches to kiss me, and i don't say goodbye when i leave for work. I have come home to a clean (barely scraping by clean, but im appreciative!) house.

My question, do you aquarian guys/gals have one big thing that you kinda obsess/focus on and kinda let everything else go to hell? (or go to anyone else?)

That makes sense. We got into it one day when i told him that it seems like his car is his wife instead of me, and he got terribly mad. So did i. I don't back down when he gets mad, but i stay respectfull. Thank God we had a long talk, and he apologized. I told him that i didn't mind him having a hobby and all, but geez, don't forget about the people that love you. Man i swear, i love this man, but he can get to me sometimes (part of what keeps me with him, i guess!)

I'm an Aqua Sun, Taurus Moon, Leo Rising and I can't speak for anyone else but I LOVE to have a very clean, neat, organized house. My motto is "everything has it's place, and there's a place for everything". I've just always believed that(at work or home)when everything is very organized it makes life a whole lot easier, and you are way more efficient because you're not wasting time searching for something, instead you just go right to where it's at and go onto the next thing. Even at my different work situations, one an office job and another as a bartender/fine dining server, when I had everything organized a certain way I could just reach and grab and "KNOW" that what I wanted was right there where it should be so I could work twice as fast as everyone else because they had to actually waste time searching for the things that I had within arms reach at any given moment, so guess who made more money and was able to be the much more efficient employee? Yep, you got it, Miss Organized Aqua. I always found this rather amusing since I was the child who would stuff everything under my bed and in my closet when dad would say to clean your room. He'd come in and bust me on my hiding places and make me redo it all of course, and maybe that's how I learned that doing it right the first time got me out the door to play or do whatever I wanted a lot faster. Oh yeah, and I'm a list maker. I've always been one to make a daily list of "TO DO's" and I think I do this so that I can actually see that I've accomplished things as I've gone throughout my day, plus I very rarely forget anything as it's all on my list. I've never known an Aqua guy, but I'd hope they are the same way about the being neat and orderly I mean since one has captured my attention and I'd hate to end up feeling more like his maid rather than his woman! As far as the "clean car" thing goes...yeah, um I've been that way a little bit too, but not to your hubby's extreme. It was always like a first impression thing-you know people see you out and about, and if your car looks like a landfill inside people could be scared off by this image flashing thru ones head of what a nightmare the Aquas home must be like...well at least from a single persons point of view. And our car IS probably put into our "electronics, etc" category which is WAY important to Aquas. Anyway, good luck with your "dirty socks" guy! PEACE & LOVE

Guilty as charged! I'm exactly the same way. I'm in love with my car and I don't care what anyone says. That's my baybay. Apart from that similarity I'm pretty clean. My parents kind of drilled the idea of being clean into me when I was young and when I use to practice Kendo we had to clean the Dojo before we could ever set foot on the floors and train.
