Do you make excuses for not answering the phone?

My fellow Aqua's, how often do you look at your phone when someone is calling and let it go to voice mail? Do you put your ring tone on vibrate just so you don't have to hear it go off? Do you constantly find yourself making up excuses to family and friends on why they can't get a hold of you(even on your cellphone)? What are some of most absurd excuses that have come out of your mouth? And why don't you answer the phone?

I'm A Aquarius Female & It Depends On What Kind Of Mood I'm In. Sometimes, I Just Don't Feel Like Talking On The Phone, I Guess Some Days I'm Just Lost In Aqua-Space, But I Don't Become Distant On Purpose & Ignore Calls, It Just Happens.

Let's See A Excuse I Recently Told A Cancer Male, Which He Obviously Wasn't Convince By It.
"I Told Him, My Battery In My Cell Phone Needed To Be Charged, That's Why I Had My Phone Turned Off"

"Then He Tried To Call My House Phone One Day And It Was Off The Hook All Day, He Was Mad Asking Why Was It Off The Hook All Day "I Told Him While I Was Cleaning That Day I Must Have Unplugged The Phone From The Wall & Didn't Noticed I Did"

LOL, Yes, I Made A Huge Mistake. I Usually Only Give People Either Just My Home Phone Number And Not My Cell Number, Or Just My Cell Number And Not My Home Phone, But I Liked This Guy, I Didn't Know He??d Call My Home Phone & Cell Phone Constantly, It's Hard Enough Thinking Of One Excuse, I'm Running Out Of Excuses, LOL. I'm Just Really Not A Phone Person, And I Guess That's Strange, Because Most People Believe Women Love To Talk, Especially On The Phone, But I Really Don't, I Just Use My Phone If I Really Have To.

"Sorry my phone died." (The funny thing is, my phone WITH the charger will be sitting right next to me..OH & with a FULL battery."

"Sorry, my break (at work) was over."...(when in fact my break JUST started,....literally)

Idk why I do this sometimes. I swear it's not that I hate that person. It's just that I have my days when I'm 100% in the mood to talk to my friends for hours & sometimes I'll ignore every single call I get on some days, unless it's one of my parents/family or man. I can't even explain this so I can understand why others get confused. IDK, it's like a lightbulb goes off in my head the minute that person calls, that I just don't feel like talking. Sometimes, I'll cut someone off in mid-conversation & tell them that I'll call them later. Who knows. Just one of those Aqua things

Phone is always on vibrate cuz its always goin off...and its either I answer the phone or not...deal wit it I don't see the big deal bout it

i agree with cusp of magic...so scared for all the feelings you will get when talking to someone,,i meen oooh my gosh if you would feel something..pathetic..aquas are far more deceptive and fake then the gemini.

Lmfao at ThisAndThat. I don't like talking on the phone one bit. I can't speak for any other Aqua but myself when I say it has nothing to do with stirring up emotions. I can't stand when someone calls me to talk about nothing. When I want to talk to someone I would rather meet up somewhere or have you come over so we can talk face to face......and so I can read their body language....

Personally, I think one of my major issues about talking on the phone is once I am on the phone I feel trapped. The people that usually call me want to talk and talk and talk FOREVER. Being on the phone prevents me from getting a lot done and sometimes it makes me feel like I am wasting my day away. It wouldn't be so bad if I knew it was going to be a quick phone call. I feel there is only so much you can say to a person before it turns into small talk. This is why I much enjoy spending time on the computer typing out an e-mail or instant messaging a friend. I can multi task when there is a screen in front of me. I can't multi task as well when I am on the phone.

Of course there are plenty of REASONABLE reasons why someone wouldn't answer their phone (their phone is dead, they are busy, at work, already on the phone, you're avoiding something/someone or they're mad/upset with you) but come on now, let's just be honest. Most of the time, Aquas don't pick up b/c they just don't want to. Sometimes it's not even that we are busy or are avoiding you out of fear of anything. Sometimes when that phone rings, a light bulb goes off in our heads & for NO REASON AT ALL we might push the "ignore button."

People need to stop taking that personal. And here's why I say that: Half of the time there is nothing wrong with the person or relationship with the person that is calling. We just don't want to talk Or answer & we everybody knows that you can't make an Aqua do something they don't want to do. Now, on the other hand, if there's a specific reason why we won't talk to you and/or call you back, then that's a different story. But for the most part we Aquas don't even analyze all that much why we won't answer, & since we don't answer b/c it's nothing person, we just assume that others won't take it personal either.

It's literally just an "Aqua thing." And everybody knows that if an Aqua can't even analyze or explain why they do this, then it'll be a lonnnnnng time (if possible) for others to get answers and/or understand this.

Some people actually get their feelings hurt and don't like the truth, they take it personally. Even if I said I didn't feel like talking to anyone they still think they should be a priority or they will ask me whats wrong.

I have no Aqua in my chart and I still don't like talking on the phone or even listening to messages. I tell my friends if it's important call twice and if I still don't pick up I am really busy.

Half the time I could just feel like being by myself and watching a good movie on TV. Friends don't seem to think that TV would be more important than them, but TV doen't have to be talked back to.

Sometimes I'll pick up the phone for friends that talk alot and just need me to say the typical, "uh-huh", "really" and "are you serious" and that is fine with them because they are just venting. Half the time I am multi- tasking and not paying too much attention.

I would prefer talking in person than talking on the phone.

I agree! A lot of people take this too personal when in fact it isn't that we have something against that person. Some people just don't understand the concept of alone time because they enjoy having people around so much. I had an ex who didn't believe I went out to dinner and a movie alone because I just felt like it. He though I had to of been cheating. Haha.

I like my phone as a gadget but for talking, can't stand it, depending on importance of person I will answer but everyone else goes to voicemail.

I can't believe this thread. I thought this was just me. I have mercury in aquarius and I cannot say how much I hate and avoid talking on the phone. It is an ongoing joke with all of my friends, because I absolutely will not use the telephone. I love to email, IM and so on, but you will never get me on the phone. I make up the most ridiculous excuses to avoid phone conversations:

From the normal: No credit - no battery - the ringer doesn't work - I had headphones on all day and didn't hear it ring - I lost it - I dropped it in the pool and it only works sometimes

To the bizarre: I rent it to someone else on the weekend - I share the phone with another student to save money and they have it - I share the phone with my mum and she has it (I'm 28) - I accidentally set the language setting to (insert random language) and now I can't text or access my message - the numbers on the telephone somehow got mixed up and now I can't dial properly - my doctor said that I shouldn't use mobile phones because they make my migraines worse - I can't text cause I was getting carpal tunnel syndrome.

I have honestly used all of these and don't feel at all bad about it. I love people, but don't want to chat on the phone.

I feel trapped, suffocated, uncomfortable, awkward and just plain hate the telephone.

I have an aqua rising and a moon trine Uranus i keep my phone on silent all the time it's a habit of mines i rather text den talk

Yea right. I nvr use ringtones. Really hate talking on the phone ..mayb sometimes there's this awkward feeling when there's a long pause, or when u have 2 plan ahead what ur going 2 say so tht u won't stumble upon ur own words and whew..i dont know. It's just my nature ..I prefer communication by writings, messagings, etc. I'm stunningly good at it rather than face-2-face conversation; nvrthless tht doesnt mean im really bad in direct communicating skills 😆. (And I despise talking nonsense stuffs, what a waste of time).
p/s: Being creative and being nonsense are 2 DIFFERENT worlds. 🙂
