I kind of get it now...

...my Aqua told me, without me even asking, that the reason he doesn't text me all the time or ring me every day is that he's been hurt in the past by jumping straight in and he doesn't want to do that with me and spoil everything! This 'opening up' came as a surprise to me cos we weren't talking about anything intense, he just came right out and said it. So I said that I didn't mind as he always makes enough time to see me and I'm happy.

Just sometimes he can seem a little bit distant (emotionally) and this makes me act the same way too. Is this the best thing to do or should I be more vocal about how I feel about him? His actions show he likes me, but he told me before he's not the most vocal person when it comes to emotions. But I am, so should I just tone the emotion down a bit? Don't want to scare him into a disappearing act!! 🙂

Yeah, think I will mention something next time I see him. I don't expect continual contact as I have my own life to get on with as well, it's just this subtle shift started after he told me he loved me. So it feels like now he's told me that he doesn't have to make as much of an effort which is annoying cos he does! I did tell him that the first year with someone is meant to be the 'best' time, ie when you can't get enough of each other, the whole infatuation thing, and that we should enjoy this. He appeared to agree, so I'll have to see if things shift back again.

What also made me laugh was when I was telling him about the plans for my birthday (beginning of May) and I asked him what he thought about where I was planning on going. His response; a million things could happen before then to make you change your mind! Such a typical Aqua response! He obviously doesn't understand the stubborness of a Taurean, I'm happy with my plans and I'm sure nothing will change them!

May is like 10 years from now to him...don't expect him to commit to anything that far ahead of time!!!
