Thongs sticking out of trousers

Who started this trend and why? I am refering the spectacle that is women of all ass shapes and sizes thinking that it is stylish to have a string thong ostensibly showing under their trousers or jeans. Actually they normally hook it around their hip bones to make sure that it doesn't slip out of visibility.

Why do these women do it? What signal are they trying to send out? As far as I know, thongs were originally worn to avoid VPL or Visible Panty Line if a woman was wearing white or fine trousers and didn't want her knickers to be seen through the fabric. But obviously they are worn for quite a different reason nowadays.

I had the displeasure of seeing this unsightly sight today in a motor tax waiting room when a woman bent over and out popped her little piece of sexy string. I guess it's worn to attract male attention and/or make the woman seem sexually alluring or wild. But when a woman wears this in public she is also putting in the face of other woman like me who finds it quite offensive and tacky and for me in particular, annoyed by the fact that she is letting down all women by relying on her underwear to get some attention.

I wonder if any other users have opinions about this?

shants make a man look stupid wearing them (becasue their neither pants or shorts) or make a guy look poor becasue he couldnt afford pants that go down to his ankles.

i think there is a time and palce for thongs like that hehe..
in a nightclub or somthing i think it is fine.. no wait i like it all the time hehe 🙂

If I remember correctly it was friggen pop stars that started that,brittney spears,X-tina agulieria,etc.I never wore em like that,thought its was a cheezy and lame way to get attention from dudes.

I just find it offensive full stop, regardless of how big or small or shapely or mushy the ass is. Maybe I'm a prude but when I see this it gets my pulse racing for all the wrong reasons.

Case in point: A woman starts the day wearing a regular pair of panties. Within a few hours they morph in to thongs.

BTW ummmm, this NEVER happens to me...I've just HEARD about it.

Whenever my eyes are subjected to the treat of seeing a woman bending over to show one and all her slutty thong protruding from her ass cheeks, a man may think "ummmm sexy b 1 t c h" whereas I just think "stupid b 1 t c h"

Primegen: yeah as a matter of fact it's FREEZING atm! It's funny you should ask that as it's unusually cold for this time of year over here. We seem to be getting the very cold spell that we should've gotten in January! It was kinda weird the other day - snowing and sunny sometimes at the same time!
