Us versus Them... Why do others not understand us?
Well aquas are just classified as aloof. I think it's because you guys are in your heads a lot analyzing everything and then doing it again before you act when others are wanting a reaction/action so to speak sooner that what you guys are willing to give (I'm not saying that a bad thing). That and containing your emotions very well so no one can decepiher them makes you guys an enigma to others. Your very complex which leaves others perplexed on how to engage you in one form or another. Non-aquas don't know how to take your words or reactions.
Aquas seem to be direct but other times you are indirectly direct... you're a mystery and sometimes leaves things for interpetation which leaves others scratching their noggins thinking which way am I supposed to take that? And then there's the romantic side of you guys. Which I'm not going to touch. lol Mmmm....yeah.
You guys are very sweet,alluring and gregarious creatures which is wonderful. You seem to go out of your way for those you hold very dear to you. You do spend time with such people but when you guys are aloof (for a lack of a better term) i.e. breaking pre-arrange plans, leave in mid-conversation, break all contact for days/weeks then you leave the person wondering if you still care (in one form or another), which I've read happens a lot. lol
The Taurus (which LOVES stability and routine which you guys loathe) he will want a set schedule of when you see each other for instance once a weekend, but to you seeing him once a month could be good enough. Which to him = you don't care or don't want to be bothered. Taurus want to see/have contact with the person they care for a lot (well a lot to aquas). I have a Taurus moon and I can TOTALLY see/relate to that.
So yep... people do classify you lovely water barriers as aloof because honestly we cannot find another word that fits you. Which really doesn't define who you are cause honestly... aquas can not be contained in any group/definition...such as air cannot be contained.

I thought I should clarify about the Taurus. If a Taurus (sun and moon) really likes you they will deal and honestly get used to the routine of you guys running hot and cold. We will start to see a pattern (shock and awe) and we will adjust to that. Of course when you alter it we will have a moment of shock and need a bit of regulation like if you're in the hot sun all day and jump into glacier cold water. You seize up... Taurus will do that to... do that deer in the headlights things and think what the hell just happened, and try to regulate ourselves to the new routine. Everyone has routines...yes even you aquas do. They might be a bit more irregular than others but they are still there.
Now I will say this if the taurus is kinda/slightly intertested and/or not too sure about where this relationship (friendship or otherwise) is heading or if they don't like the direction they will only tolerate the hot/cold mojo thingy for only so long. Then there will be a few options on the table. The bull will shake the dust off of them (since you put us into the ground) and then grunt and walk away to a greener pasture and graze, or they will turn around and give you the horns (unleash the taurus anger and whoa nelly...yikes we won't stop until one or both of us are hurt...think bullfighting to the max...we see red) or last case we will sit our bull arses into the solid earth and give it right back to you. When you want to see us we will agree and then not come (using the old aqua line I was too busy or I forgot) or say something smart arse like Oh you don't like how it feels do you? Now you know how I feel when you pull that or something like an eye for an eye water bearier... an eye for an eye.

One last thing about Taurus (sun and moon) we KNOW what we want. We are slow movers esp when it come to relationships (likewise for aquas) so that's good. But once we get there we are stubborn and will wait... Oh boy we will wait,endure and fight for what we want, tooth and nail. We will travel the ends of the earth to get what we want and if/once we achieve it we will charish that sucker forever. Taurus don't fall for just anyone so when we do we know there is a reason for such affections and will endure almost any and everything you throw at us. Doesn't mean we will take everything lying down, but we are slow to anger as well. So it would take a lot to piss us off... seriously. lol But we will get pissy and throw it back at you and after a while we will get over it and become our cool, calm, collected and earthy selves again.
I dunno if you and the Taurus guy are in a relationship or friendship but I'll tell you what once he decides he wants you...Pfff forget-about-it. The guy is gonna stick around and even if your unsure and only want friendship at the time he will accept it but always be waiting for the time you want more. When you do.... *sigh* get ready for it. That's all I gotta say. We can be a rock.

the ppl who think that we are snobbish are the ppl we dont wanna associate with in the 1st place due to observed behavior. Those who get more than a 'hi', are those u have gone under the microscope and excelled, if not...whatever. Men have given me a hard time too for not being like a handbag to a woman- there all the time. Whatever again, u want an ever present presence, date your shadow or a fly- i just cant be in somebody's face all the time, inside my head is where its at. And that place is better than any company in the world for me...well most of the time anyway
what i observed with other ppl, mainly sadge, libra and aries is that they get lonely to be with other ppl. Me on the other hand get lonely to be with me, im not a socialbutterfly at all. The more ppl there are, the lonelier i get. My social days (meeting up with friends) are far apart, my friends stay hours away maybe thats the reason- very fine with me, i like it that way. this is so true. when i broke it off. he said fine and walked away. but yet when i saw his friends or if he saw mine, according to him we were still together. ugh! eventually he got the hint. but i was about to name him stalker number 2.

I know you're just giving a scenario here but uh...if I were in a relationship with someone & our only interaction with one another was once a month, yeah...I'd have a problem with that because I would believe he wasn't really interested, and/or the relationship is not that important to him. Therefore I wouldn't be bothered. I understand people are busy but it takes a minute to text/call.
Now don't get me wrong, I'd be content with not seeing him for a month but only if we ARE having interaction with each other texting/calling a few times within the month, I'd be cool. Sounds weird but as long as we are communicating with each other, I'm straight.
Some people just have conventional ways of "how a relationship should be", being with them everyday = I love you. Nah, to me that = smothering, lol. Space is EXTREMELY healthy to me in a relationship, even if you're married. But there just has to be a happy medium. Don't be too aloof & don't be too clingy. 🙂

in a way chem i think we do have a scale too or at least i do, not a crazy one though (like that of u know who). For an example, i didnt find a relationship with another aqua fulfilling- too cold emotionally and those who were too hot, overwhelmed me emotionally. I think i have a mirror too, lol. If u dont call, i dont either. I even count text words, dont wanna out do them so to speak, lol.

One of my best friends is an Aqua and she broke up late last year with a Taurus, who continued to pick her up from her social engagements, call her to check up on her everytime she was out, and even offered to take her on vacation (they went to the Dominican in January). This was after she made him move out. In her mind, they are still friends. In his mind, well, let's just say when he came over unannounced to pick up his mail and her new male friend was there (because she's dating again), his head hit the roof. I have literally never seen such a possessive man. I actually really like the guy, but like even when they were together, he would call her four times everytime we were out together and ALWAYS come pick her up. damn im surprised she didnt suffocate from all of that. i felt like the walls were closing in with him. it was too much. and that insecurity thing, always wanting to know where i was that was just too much.
i agree about taurus ppl, had an ex like u described and my bff is one too. She has a cancer moon and ppl ALWAYS suspect us of being lovers (eww!) bcoz of her possessiveness. If i dont answer calls, she blows up my phone with texts or voicemails. When we fight and i ignore her, she sends love letter like texts, lol. As far as Taurus well they take a very long time to commit to someone. So I'm thinking he had fire or air in his chart to even sleep with you. Sun and moon Taurus don't do flings honestly. Taurus take VERY long because once in a relationship we take it very seriously and very dependable and committed. We rarely give up on the relationship even when all the cards are screaming get out. We will stick it out. So that's why they take so long. They want to make sure that when the attached to the one...it's the right one. Cause when were in dude were in it for the long haul.
Taurus can be very possessive and jealous...I guess what balances that out is your sun/moon/venus/mars signs. If they are mutable they are more easily to contain. If they are fixed...for-get-about-it. Possessive and jealous is their bag. Now I am possessive over my material possession. People not so much. Do what you want and get outta of my face. I'm like real talk. If we talk a few times a month and see each other 1 or 2 times out of the month I'm golden. That's the mermaid in me that needs and craves freedom and space. He's actually one of the biggest sweethearts you could meet, but you really have to crack him down to see that side. He has this assholish/quirky humor that he projects; which often reminds me of a lot of aquarians. I'm actually pretty close to aquarius people. He is incredibly loyal and honest to a fault, but a free spirit all the same. He's an airhead and a very grounded man all in one.

Speaking of Taurus. My bestie is one.. She lives by a schedule everything has to be done by a certain date and a certain time. She is so funny because she is really deep with it. She like long lasting relationships too. She is kinda clingy as a friend but a very good-hearted and true friend.
