What does he mean when he says this?

So background info if u need it: We've been together for 4 years since we we're both 19. Did the disapearring act in the first year of our relationship but then he became a GREAT boyrfriend once he decided to commit.

Anyways last night he was a little drunk and told me that he feels like he doesnt have any true friends. And when I asked him what he meant by that he said that non of his friends are as passionate and curious about the world as he is. And that he's never found a friend like him yet. He can talk about almost everything and all of his friends are "simple" according to him. I didnt say anything but this really hurt my feeling when he said that. Did he mean that Im not a good enough friendfor him or something? And therefore not a good enough gf? Is he not satisfied with me? Does he feel like he's just settling with me because he cant find anyone better?

I mean Im definately not as varied as him when it comes to interests. But Im not an idiot and I can always hold a converstation with him (even though he's the one who talks the most and brings up the most topics). And sometimes I always feel not good enough to be with him because of this. He's just soooo out there that I feel like I cant catch up sometimes. I mean we talk like at least 2 hrs a day on the phone and that hasnt changed so I hope that means he isnt getting bored of me. But whenever he says comments like that about his friends it always makes me feel bad because Im pretty much the same as his friends. Hell some of them are probably more passionate about their hobbies than I am.

Can anyone tell me how he is really feeling? I really didnt want to ask him if he feels like he's not satisfied with me cause I know he would just say "Im not saying Im better than everyone, Im just saying Im more curious about the world than others." I mean Im curious about the world too, I just can't imagine being on his level though cause it really sounds exhausting. But does he think that he's better than me because of that? I mean he tells me he loves me constantly and is alwaysss calling me and trying to hang out. He even called me his "true love forever" once which was super cute since he isnt the type to say stuff like that. But then he says comments like he did before that just really make me question whether or not he's really happy with me. What do you guys think? 😢

he wasn't talking about you -- he was talking about his friends. you're his girlfriend. he didn't say anything about u. im sure if he meant u too he would've said it. so i wouldn't worry about it. aquas can b blunt n say things @ face-value. so don't read too much into his actions or words thinking it might mean this or that. if he said "my friends dont get me" it means "my friends dont get me". not "my girlfriend doesn't get me and im unsatisfied with her" lol

also, u mentioned "I really didnt want to ask him if he feels like he's not satisfied with me cause I know he would just say "Im not saying Im better than everyone, Im just saying Im more curious about the world than others." actually, u SHOULD of asked him. that way, u wouldnt b on here wondering what's on his mind. Asking the source gives u a definite answer. n if he indeed would have said wut u predicted, again, take it for face value. i know in pisces mindframe, they tend to say things and do another or not say what they really think but not everyones like that esp aqua

Yeah I really didnt want to ask him also cause I didnt want to make it looks like I wanted to make his issue all about me. But Im sure I would have asked him about it later on (like randomly after a couple months) like I aways do about something thats bugging me. But hopefully ur right. I just hope he doesnt wake up one day and realize that Im just a boring simple girl or something and he needs to find someone better.

I think I understand your concern here but please don't worry too much. I'm sure that you're not only a girlfriend but is also a great friend to him. If not, he wouldn't show his emotion , especially the negative one in front of you. Just ask him once he's sober whether he thinks you're his best friend? Ask him what curiosity he has about the world in general? Is it about a flying robot can bring corn to you in the shower while you're wearing a special raincoat to help you eating the delicious corn on the cob? (Just kidding!). They're usually brutally honest so be ready with whatever flying at you but isn't it good to communicate and get a right balance for your relationship , rather than being in the dark and sense his thinking with your feeling only?

What I love and remember most is not when my Aqua husband told me he loves me but when he told me that I'm the only one who can understand him and his only best friend. It touches me deeply to be able to be his best friend. I'm sure yours think about you that way too and I know you want it too. He's probably just depressed about a few things in his circle. It'll soon pass. They can be pretty moddy at times (I think Pisces can be too! LOL!)

When he says "friends" he probably only means other guys.
When he says "passionate about the world", he probably means he likes documentries.
He probably means something like a feeling of brotherhood when he talks of friendship.People who he sees as the same as him, or something.
