Ok this if good info. Would any of you be willing to tell me your moon sign? It's relevant to figuring out whether the moon sign has any effect on this behavior.
Well my moon sign is in scorpio, meaning that most of the time i feel conflicted. My moon wants 2attach emotionally while my sun wants detach. Its a constant battle.Niceness VS Meanness.I've learned 2balance them both, its still hard though. Well thanks blueribbons its all so true, whats your moon sign?Does it work well with your sun sign 2bring out the humanitarian in you?
Yeah, mine mentioned the humanitarian bit. Apparently, my combo makes me an easy con target. . . Yeah, it is true. π’ I'm too soft on people and not at all suspicious until I have a reason to be. It's hard to tell from the description on anyone else's. Darn!
Ok then, time for a vote. Who do you agree with more?

I go with 1two3 go,my evil moon refuses 2play humanitarian all the time(i do though if that counts)..muahahaha heeheehee*cough*
On a serious note though, there's a homeless guy who sleeps at a park by my flat,4sum unkown reason i like him.Every evening i send him dinner, once a week i buy him a pack of smokes.I let him bath at my place every sunday,i knitted him a jersey 4winter.I sit with him&his park friends sumtimes 4short chats.I try my best reach out a hand in society&i think if we culd all lend a hand in sum way,the world wuld be a better place.Im still mean though 2my park friends, especially when they booze. On a serious note though, there's a homeless guy who sleeps at a park by my flat,4sum unkown reason i like him.Every evening i send him dinner, once a week i buy him a pack of smokes.I let him bath at my place every sunday,i knitted him a jersey 4winter.I sit with him&his park friends sumtimes 4short chats.I try my best reach out a hand in society&i think if we culd all lend a hand in sum way,the world wuld be a better place.Im still mean though 2my park friends, especially when they booze.

lol why does it matter?
is there a feud I'm unaware of? π

No feud. I'm just not able to get a good idea of the validity of my theory without a solid answer.
My Question:
"Is the type of moon relevant to an Aquarian's propensity toward humanitarianism?"

No worries. The same thing happened to me with SMS on Facebook. Frustrating stuff. π
Definitely a valid point AliCar15. I agree that the act itself is more important than the feelings behind them. Although, I make a point of hiding my actions that are humanitarian, even though I do love the spotlight. It's just that I don't like to see people suffer and I'm not good with the touchy-feely stuff. When someone's depressed or sad, I'm not good with hugging or anything.π’ Because of this I have a tendency to compensate with money.
Friend is sad > throw money at them. It usually works. lol
The truth is, for me it's easier to help someone I don't know impersonally then it is for me to help a friend personally or emotionally.
I don't know what made me type that. It was beside the point.
I know right! I have such a hard time when I get a present! It was easy as a kid because I was giddy over the smallest thing but now that I'm older, I don't know how to react. Usually I'll do what I think people would normally do but inside I believe that I'm overreacting.
I love giving presents though! I'll go Christmas shopping all day and return with bags full of things for people. lol
'My Question:

lol My moon falls under the most empathic sign yet my post inspired this question (and thread). Ironic, huh?
But yeah, just to clear something up, I wasn't saying aquas are altruistic ONLY when it's logical or they feel it's the right thing to do:
I was saying that despite the fact that the other signs question the presence of a humanitarian streek (streak?) in aquarians...
... even the scummiest most evil aquarian would be more likely to perform an altruistic deed than the other eleven (well, maybe not pisces) signs in any given situation if (1) it was the logical thing to do and (2) it was the right thing to do.
To counter these accusations of a lack of humanitarianism, I was making an extreme point that our emotions won't get in the way of what's fair.
Because emotions are our b-i-t-c-h. Mm-HM!
Motherfucking dxp censored my expletive despite the spaces?! Damn DXP, You scurree!
Darn. All these gaps in the conversation made me alter my question. π’ I meant to ask something along the lines of "Does your moon sign affect how you respond to people in need?" For example, Do you help because you feel bad or because it's logical and you feel little or nothing?
Sometimes i don't feel the need to help because i feel like i got mine on my own. When i do help its because i feel like its the right thing to do, emotions play little or no part at all.
I think aquarians are more utilitarian than humanitarian..maybe a bit of both.. they can think beyond themselves. They can easily grasp onto this fact that "there's a bigger picture than just me". Maybe it scares them and they try to over compensate by being super-independent. To counteract the burden of the knowledge that can see the inner workings of the world is, and what types of things should be done to make it better.
But they know and probably have better grasp of it than any other sign. So I wonder what it looks like when you have an Aquarian that embraces that side of them?

So I read on 1two3go's post recently that aquas are not people lovers and we believe that people suck. That we only help because it's the logical thing and the right thing. I stand at the opposition for this, sort of.
My beliefs: I help people, often at my own expense, because it makes me feel good to do so. I hate to see people suffer, it breaks my heart. I thought the majority of aquarians believed this and acted thusly but then recently, I read about how the combination of my sun and moon make me a little different.
I'm Aquarius sun, Leo moon.
Here's a small snippet:
11-5 Aquarius/Leo
The combination of your Sun sign and your Moon sign produces the sort of personality that is always there to help people in need; a true humanitarian. Because this trait is so strong in your nature, you're a bit of an easy mark for con men or other friends and family that would take advantage. You are the one people come to when they have problems and need help. You are proud, independent, and self-reliant, and you don't like to have your original good opinion of people upset. Because of this, you keep a bad bargain and perhaps stay with a relationship that has gone sour.

So to clarify: All of you aquas out there, do you behave as a humanitarian? What are your motivations?
