Aries Sun&Moon with a Cancer Rising (deceptive)

I am an Aries sun and Moon with a Cancer Ascendant , and people are constantly taking me the wrong way, they see me as a pushover/softie with my Cancer Ascendant even as un-confident!, and I'm not like that at all... I am a typical confident Aries and that side of me comes out then and people are mad and confused about it, any advice about this placement would be much appreciated. Here is my chart too, I guess I am a watered down Aries; it's hard to deal with sometimes because people are always so shocked when my Aries side comes out.

I have a Pisces moon and I am the same way and I like it. I get to see who will take advantage and who won't. I had to put my Leo coworker in her place yesterday because she said in front of a group of people that I dropped the ball on something that had nothing to do with me. She was looking to place blame on someone for something someone else did and I guess she thought I would be a good scapegoat since I ve always been super nice to her. When I put her in her place everyone seemed so shocked, and I wasnt even arguing, just explaining.

First of all...un-confident is not a word😉 but precious try, secondly how old are you? Sometimes people take you more seriously as you age. Also, why worry if other people are confused, it's good to keep them guessing! Do you have a specific manifestation of this you could pin point?

Personally, I think having a cancer rising is a huge asset with the raw energy your chart indicates. If you learn how to weave together the harsher, more blunt aspects of yourself with the caring "softer" cancer energy you initially present-you could get a lot done! Sorta like an iron hand in a velvet glove😉

What exactly do you mean by people surprised seeing your "Confident Aries" side come out? What is the "confident Aries" side to you? Cancer rising.... you have a cancer shell that hides.

Pluto in the 5th house, you're prone to believe that your romantic attractions are fated and meant to be. Jupiter in the 5t house, you attract many to you.

I guess your right, I'm always like that I don't even get to the full extent of my anger and everyone starts to back away, at one word, I can't stand it when people use, you and expect you to take it like it's nothing.....

Whoops...., and I am from the age of 18-21, but does that matter, you can be mature at a young age, yes I guess it's nice to have an air of mystery but not when It causes constant issues in close relationships, I have had such a horrible time with relationships these past few years and I think this differentiation in signs causes some of the confusion for me, and I have honestly had a hard time blending the two, because people have given me many reasons not to trust them, and that has caused me to act more like water signs.

It is a myth to think that water signs are weak, they're emotional, but they are not weak. Also, the midheaven is the mask and what people first see more than your rising sign. I know there are articles that say that people see the ascendant, but I believe that those astrologers have it wrong. I believe that the ascendant is more of your soul development and your midheaven is what people first see and more of the outer mask. So maybe people see more of the Pisces and not the cancer. Not to mention, you are Pisces dominant.

You have a bit of an anger problem. My advice on that is to examine what it is inside of yourself that is causing that.

Not a mysterious death... but more of an unexpected and sudden death. This does not mean that you will die young like James Dean, but could die in a car crash like he did.

People are people. Everyone has problems.. there is no one person who is flawless or without problems. We're all human.

I really don't have any anger problems it's more the reverse of that, I'm way to compromising when I shouldn't be, I don't like fighting over stupid things, and when people are being mean to me directly I usually take it or laugh it off, it would make since if I was more of a pisces, but then I usually get mad later and my anger is usually worse after I have had time to think about what happened.

Also, another thing... you seem to suppress your anger rather than expressing it. Aries are taught that that our tempers/anger shouldn't be expressed from an early age... but the anger/temper is just our passion (strong intense emotions). I may have read you wrong when you said... that you hide your anger, but can explode. So my apologies if so.

Your Mars is well aspected. But Mars isn't comfortable in Pisces. Can get angry and express... then feel guilty about it later. what do you think?

I do try to suppress my anger but not because I think I shouldn't let it out but because, I don't like hurting people, my temper is bad and every time I have let my temper control me I have really hurt others, and I don;t like doing that.

And you are spot on about my mars, I don't like having it in Pisces, I always feel so very horrible after say anything mean to others.....

Everything in life is a matter of perspective. Maybe it comes down to asserting yourself? And making a stand for yourself?

Thank you for all of your advice, I guess you are right I don't have a problem asserting my self it's just I really dislike hurting people's feelings due to all the pisces in my chart, so do you think that all the water signs in my chart are the cause of confusion, when people first meet me?

I too am a sun in aries / taurus cusp, moon capricorn, and cancer rising. FieryAries9108, When I read your post, I laughed out loud, and thought this is me. What you are saying about people thinking you are a pushover. People treat me like this too. It has pissed me off for so long. It is good to see that there are others who are having the same experience. I was starting to think it was a defect in myself. Asking myself, why do I have to be so volnerable? Did something to deserve peoples rudeness and disrespect.

I have a lot of good experiences with most people. The 80 / 20 rule applies to me here. 80 percent of my interactions are respectable. But those 20 percent really get me upset. Being a typical cancer ascendant, I have thin skin. So, something as small as a rise in vocal tone can be offensive to me.

I try to be respectful of everyone I meet, no matter who they are. It is so nice to meet people who are truly respectful. Other people seem to take my openness / respectfullness for granted. And they think I am soft or weak. Then they proceed to be rude and try to walk all over me. When this happens, I try to overlook it and just get away from whomever is being disrespectful asap. But sometimes I snap on people. Or, I just raise my tone of voice, or simply just stand up for myself, or state my opinion, or just flat out tell the other person what I think they are doing wrong.

This is when it gets interesting.... Sometimes the person seems to tone it down, and they realize that I am not just a pushover, and that I have a backbone, and I can stand up for myslef. But other times, the disrespectful person seems to get offended. As if to say "How dare he". I guess these folks hardly ever can see things from my perspective. Like I dont have a right to stand up for myself. Like I should just keep on taking their BS. I am so sick of these types of people. They loose any respect I have for them fast. I try to avoid negative people, because I it rubs off on me so bad. And I am already so pessamistic and meloncholy that any more negativity is not good.

So, the point in my entire post goes back to what FieryAries9108 is saying. Why do some people seem to think I am soft and give me a crappy attitude. Why do people try to use me as an emotional garbage dump. Then, when I refuse to take their garbage anymore they get offended. Its like they think I should just keep on taking their negativity.

I have also noticed that people like to tease me. I guess It is ok, people only tease those they like. It is fine until I start teasing back. Because most of my teasing comes with a lot of resentment for being teased, and a harsh truth behind it. Here again, some get offended when I tease back, like I am not supposed to have the right to stand up for myself. My cancer claws start pinching hard. Talking to people on the phone is also difficult sometimes. I can just hear the anger or negativity in their voice and it is very irritating. It is hard for me to not pop off or smart off to them. Maybe its just me. There is no cure for CANCER.

Also, bkbella86, I like your comment about "I get to see who will take advantage and who won't." It is nice to meet those who are respectable, but those who will take advantage of me are not worth the dirt on my shoe. I guess I am a little bitter to those who have been disrespectful to me. Cancer keeps a long list of those who have offended them, We never forget the wrongs those have done to us.
