How long does it take for aries to open up?

I've been knowing this male aries for close to 6 months. Our first month of knowing each other, he was already thinking about how it be if we were in a relationship. I don't like playing games, so he knows that I enjoy his company and that I like him. He's basically made time for me in his busy schedule (being less selfish) and initiated convos with me when I told him to start doing so - this was 3 months in. Learning who he is (direct questions and observation) and going off of his underhanded comments, I know that likes me too. But, how long does it take for an aries to be comfortable enough to open up? I'm not sappy with him, but, every once in a while, I do let him know that I care in such little words - which he soaks up like a sponge. I know how he is when he does not like an individual, and I've even questioned him. He's honest when I ask him direct questions. Although, I can tell that he's restricting himself with verbalizing his feelings, and sometimes his actions. He's very scary when it comes to making the first move (without being told to do so) bc he thinks that I'll reject him—?? Not trying to rush anything, but I want to understand aries on a deeper level. He's the 4th aries that I've known, but the only one who I'm taking the time to get to know.

*I know there's more than just the sun sign to consider, but that's all I know, including his personality.
