Do you ever feel like strangers really respond to your facial expressions and body language? Like it is obvious to people when you are ticked off and they know it's them that's ticking you off?

Where I work, we have a cafeteria. I was in the salad line and the man in front of me kept pausing and having conversations with people who weren't in line. He kept apologizing to me for taking so long. Talk, apologize. He admitted he was talking too much and slowing down the line. "You think? If you're aware of it then shut up and get your dang salad" - is what I wanted to say (if I knew him I would have, jokingly of course). I have no doubt my body language was expressing irritation. I'm just wonder if the repeat apologies were because he was aware of himself or aware of my irritation.

Do any of yall have this stuff happen?

In answer to your question - hell yes.

Whenever I walk around it looks like im frustrated... on the upside it gets people to leave me alone when I am strolling on campus at Uni and dont want to be bothered 😛

Whenever I feel like either people know its them that is ticking me off, or I want them to know I give them a dead stare right in their eyes and wait for them to feel uncomfortable.

My reaction is the opposite of what you all seem to be experiencing. Scorp Rising increases the allure.

But then, I'm a Pisces . . .

so you would have joined in the conversation? Lol

It doesn't look like there was a conversation to join in.

But that's another topic: What do you do when your GF instigates or escalates a confrontation?

I meant the man's conversation who was holding up the line, you would have joined in. It was a joke. Anyways.

IF the GF/BF instigates or escalates a confrontration, then I stiffen, speak calmly, glare while they speak, internally question their argument and its validity - then either counterback or take a time out. My ex said I gave him a look that he didn't know what he was talking about or a look that said FU I don't care. It used to infuriate him.

I think at that point of anger the mars kicks in or the moon if you are on the self defense side, though.

man do i ever. as a kid my mom would ALWAYS tell me to smile more often and would always compare me to my sister who has the cutest smile with dimples and this endearing little snaggle tooth. actually i dont think i learned how to smile until i hit high school. it was something i actively had to learn and practice... definitely did not come natural to me. up until that point i think my smile was this really awkward half smile. anyway. yes i'm usually misunderstood by people who don't know me. they usually think im this huge asshole. haha

no i don't like it!! it's done NO good for me... so hard to make friends. and i don't really like guys as friends because most of the time they are guys that i've friendzoned. it's hard for me to talk to people though in general. and i friggin OBSESS like no other. i fixate and am privy to infatuation. i'm an emotional train wreck sometimes and i have the worst BRF EVER. so PLEASE tell me how this ascendant is good. it's more like a curse for me. i hate it.

I think one of the good things about this ascendent is people don't bullshit you.

You see right through their facade and fakeness to what's really under the surface. Although, it unnerves people a little bit, though. I believe my first impressions are usually quite accurate.

Yes ma'am. It's the same for me.. human lie detector is what I call it 🙂

I feel like I was meant to see this! I'm Scorpio rising with Aries/Taurus and every time I'm trying to play it cool instead of exploding it shows in my eyes. People see it and feel it. It permeates the room. I could be smiling and my words have the sweetest tones of reassurance that what the person has said or done did not hinder me and all of the sudden they see my eyes and they ask me for forgiveness like five times. Then ask me if I'm sure it didn't phase me five times. I've actually practiced body language techniques so that my anger doesn't show through, but those close to me know the nicer I am the greater the sting ...later...maybe not now...but it's coming...it's just when...lol
