calling all aqua moons : )

Isn't it strange that we seem to have a stronger interest in astrology than most? Just something I've noticed from the boards. Even more interesting is that the moon represents emotions. I'm trying to figure out what the connection is. Would you agree that even though a certain planet represents one thing there is still an overall blend? For instance, it's Venus that is supposed to represent our interests. ... Yet the Aqua moons around here seem to have a STRONG interest in astrology. Something that is very aqua. What do you guys think?

Not saying that others interests aren't as strong. But we seem to obsess over it ...

hahaha...well, i don't obsess over astrology. it is thoroughly engrained in my mind, though. 'cause i find it to be accurate.

I think there is one of these floating around here somewhere. My mom has an aqua moon too and she has a strong interest as well. Which became mine.

I thought there would be more of us. It seemed so anyway : ) It's, okay ... With aqua placements comes A.D.D. they'll come around .... next week or something lol

question to you leos with aqua moons, are any of you the calm cool-headed type who shows very little emotion? i know a leo with this placement and its difficult to know exactly what he's feeling. he's not your typical show-offy leo. i notice that he's a bit eccentric also in many ways. he'll put on some love songs while he give his dog a bath lol....:/ he'd also change his style of dress from time to time.

Yes, for the most part until ...

Your friend is trying to rationalize emotions as they are felt. He detaches which is the whole non-emotional appearing thing. But it doesn't mean he doesn't FEEL. There are a lot of voices going on with those emotions that are trying to apply reason to them (feelings).

i myself have (moon) mercury & saturn all in aqua; and i can safely say i VERY much LOVE astrology, ever since i was a kid.. It always seemed very natural, very right..i've never tired of it, and it never bores me. i just love to know what makes people tick, people are just very interesting to me...even certain types of psychology interest me ...which, btw* can blend very well with astrology.

...as far as the moon goes, it represents some of the deepest parts of our personality. Qualities that are instinctual, that feel safe & right, that you do *need* to express, make them happen for our own emotional well-being. They can't and should never be stifled.. (The moon is a VERY strong force.)

...Venus represents our relationship needs...people we are naturally drawn to.. Characteristics & attributes that YOU admire and work well with YOUR needs. (eg. a Venus in Capricorn would be naturally drawn to a mature, responsible, career-minded individual..The executive, the banker, the entrepreneur, etc.; they are the suit-lovers of the zodiac. Ambitious people people are a turn-on.) (all traits of a cappie) So Venus is more of what we admire and respect in other people, traits that work naturally & effectively with our own relationship needs. (There really is ALOT of blending, aspects, give and take between the planets.)

I can see how this would connect an aqua moon to astrology interests. Thank you for that. It's kind of what I'm trying to figure out. The connection between the aqua moon and astrology.

As mentioned, this fits in well with the study of astrology. And it is very much like psychology. Both involve attempting to understand human behavior.

Of course, astrology is not even close to being "scientifically accepted," so it's believers still tend to be viewed by society as rather foolish or at least eccentric. The latter of which tends to be aqua moonish anyhow.

In addition, obviously our moons are ruled by Uranus, which rules astrology. But on a side note I think the more aspects...perhaps especially hard aspects...to uranus you have, the more likely you will truly and deeply believe in astrology.

Quite frankly, astrology has become my "frame of reference" for dealing with people on a daily basis. Why?

Cause it works. Freakishly well.

Yeah, I think it should be given a closer look. There are things worth studying that could change some minds. Someone who wouldn't give it a second thought before. But no one takes the time to do it. A whole other thread there.
