Does anything happen when the transits are in your natal positions?

that's what they say but if everyone else isn't comfy then how is that good for you and your environment? like merc retro, if everyone else is having a hard time with communication how can that not affect you in some way unless you were a hermit?
true true
luckily my mercury isn't retro
but in the case of my saturn retro i guess it gives me the calmness to help out others while they're stressed and going through difficulties? well i hope so anyway

Eg. the moon is in aries right now, which is my natal moon.

Also what if one of your planets is retrograde, and right now it's retrograde? Does that mean you're affected differently to people without the natal retrograde? (my saturn is r)

Or if anyone's keen on teaching me how to read transits in relation to a natal chart.
Moon: same exact transit happens every 29— days? So this isn't a huge transit -it will probably be more powerful if the moon is full and aspecting your natal moon. Like turning the volume on high. Same with an eclipse.

Retrogrades -natal retrogrades reverses the planet's energy. Like Mercury in Retrograde inverts all that talkativeness inward so you may have a lot of internal conversations but you are actually quiet to the outside world. Merc R can also be a little socially awkward -things you say don't come out right or as intended.

Just because the planet is retrograde now, unless it's aspecting a natal placement (progressed placement), it doesn't matter. It has to be activating a natal placement (planets/node/parts/asteroids/etc) or making an aspect to one of them to matter to you personally.

The inner planets make short aspects even when they go retrograde so these are generally quick experiences -days/months. The outer planets take a long time to move so being direct, going retrograde, then turning back direct extends any aspects it's making to natal planets. Say Saturn is transiting your Sun....it passes over it the first time then turns Retrograde and passes back over it, then it goes direct and makes one last aspect. This could take a year or more to completely play out.

Saturn Return, Uranus Return are important transits in a person's life.
