The problem with this game is that participants are set up to fail.

Any specific astrological combination only occurs, at most, one time for roughly two days every 25,000 years or so. Given that the angular relations between planets augment how they function with one another and birth time and location will affect how they present themselves in one's personality, placements alone don't cut it. I won't even get into transits. Someone might be able to get a few right with blind guesses but would otherwise have to be a human supercomputer to really get any kind of true accuracy.

And your statement about late August persons supposedly being rational is faulty. Assuming you're speaking of Virgo that also extends into September, and there are two "logic" signs. The other is Aquarius.

So you can't work backwards from traits, only forwards from birthdate and time? How do you then prove that it works?

Why? Are late August persons not deemed rational in Astrology?

Simple one line answers offered in text via the internet are hardly "traits". Were one to present a real personality for observation it might be done by an experienced astrologer, but would still be educated guesswork.

As for proof, there isn't any. Astrology can be likened to therapeutic psychology in that it is largely subjective and based on observation rather than empirical data. It is something that has been in practice for thousands of years with traits and quirks being documented and interpreted by observing persons. Something that was done by breaking each component into simple forms.

Every Virgo will have their Sun in one of thirty degrees on the wheel, but not every Virgo will have that Sun placed within ten degrees of their Mars or in proximity to a neighboring sign. All details must be examined on their own before it can be determined how each piece fits together to make a whole.

Nice sidestep. Notice though that I said your statement was faulty, not necessarily wrong. And as I have been explaining, just because a person belongs to a certain sign does not mean they will behave as every other person of the same sign. Sun sign alone means little to nothing.

Psychology was around long before the internet. And most extensive evaluations are conducted in person.

Most extensive evaluations are conducted in person. Does this mean they can't be conducted as extensively over the internet? Think about this one and don't sidestep. I'm only answering questions which are relevant to this discussion
