i dont know how to make this shy virgo comfortable

Ok, I'll start with freshmen year of highschool. In freshmen year, My secret got out about being lesbian somehow. Immediately everyone started rumors, said i tried to get with them, I have STDs, im a whore. they even said I ****** a girl in england and came back to school in the USA JUST to spread my STDs (none of that is true though) So, I started getting some weird looks and stares, even called a few names. towards the end of the year, I have no clue how this girl caught my attention, but she was looking at me. And you know, you notice someone staring at you, its natural to look at them multiple times to see if theyre looking again , thats what I did. She would always be looking, Theres no doubt in my mind she heard some stuff about me. but it wasnt a really dirty look she was giving me. her staring started in late may to the end of the year.

Now i'm a sophmore. She still stares, sometimes turns completely around to look at me. I've tried to drop a few hints by following her on tumblr and such. Never got any follow backs. On her tumblr she had LGBT images. The images were just that gays should be aloud to marry and homosexuality isnt wrong. So I dont think she would hate me for being lesbian like all the other girls. and i've TRIED to talk to her, she so shy. I asked if she was going to this bonfire thing and she just looked at me really slowly and said yeah, she barely even looked at me. After all that happened I caught back up with her and her friend in the hallway, I was walking behind them to catch my bus. her friend turned around and was smiling and then whispered something into her ear. And I forgot to mention this about freshmen year, her friend complimented me and the girl i like looked so embarrassed and changed the subject. what i'm asking is basically , just an opinion of what you think about her and what is going on because i do not know. whenever i try to talk to her , she always talks slow and low, and never looks at me im confused , im really planning on talking to her more. ( or attemeting to ) but i guess i just need an opinion on if i should and if she likes me back. thats why i got so in detail. lol.
oh yeah. and today, catching the bus i had to walk past her and her friend, (the same one who smiled at me and whispered to her one day) and as i was walking in the stairwell i could see her looking at me through the window of the door, smiling, and today i said hi to her, i dont think she heard me though 😢 maybe next time lol
