Ok, I was selected for jury duty... I'm excited!!

Jury consists of:

1 Cap (moi)
1 Scorpio
1 Pisces
1 Taurus
2 Cancers
2 Aquas

(guess who spearheaded that covo... LOL - we still don't know names, who cares about names?!)

So, we're 50% water, 25% earth, 25% air.

50% fixed, 37.5% cardinal and 12.5% mutable.

What do you anticipate will be the deliberation process amongst such a group taking any (or all) of these factors into consideration?

As for how I got their signs... we can't talk about the case and we were joking about there was nothing to talk about, so I brought up astrology LOL

Then it turned to getting keys to the evidence locker to acquire SOMETHING to keep us awake (hey, that was one of the Cancer's ideas, not mine) - the judge's assistant after all told us she would get us ANYTHING we wanted LOL. We do seem to get along pretty good as a group and most of us got a good laugh out of that!

I'm still curious how, from an astrological standpoint, how deliberations may go...

Fixed and waters indeed may be an issue...

Things I've noticed though:

Although the Pisces, being mutable, will most likely follow which way the masses lean... I may be wrong, he's taking a lot of notes! He'll be a contributor to the discussion at least.

The Taurus is not taking much of an interest, no notes and half assing it; hate to say it, but I think he is the slacker of the group. I sense no drive what-so-ever in him.

I clearly take the lead amongst the group as a whole. (no not tooting my own, just the way it seems)

The Scorp is my right hand man and will have my back if need be I'm thinking - not that he can't think for himself, but we clicked immediately so we'll probably be on the same page (he's married and talked a lot about his wife, so don't get any thoughts).

The one Cancer is somewhat of a jokester, I thought he was a Leo actually the way he drew attention.

The female Cancer, not sure what to make of her, she's a bit older than the rest of us.

The two Aquas keep much to themselves among the group, we have to draw them in.

I imagine you'll be there for a while with no decisive FIRE. 😄

I'm kidding, idk-- but with 50% fixed, it should definitely be interesting.

I do wonder how all that water will work. I'm presuming that the basis for their decision will come from a more emotional standpoint than an analytical one. There was an attempt to tug at heartstrings, but I'm able to keep that into perspective (and see though it).

Idk-- Scorpio has some damn good analytical skills (and insight into the "human condition").

I think you're right about the two of you working together, and staying on the same page.

You'll have to tell us how it turns out-- pretty interesting. 🙂

Imagine a cappy taking charge of the group! Go figure!!! 😛

I think its cool you sought out their signs. I'm impressed. I mention astrology and people look at me like I'm a kook! lol!

Here are my predictions: I bet the majority will place their opinions based on emotions and the emotional aspects of the parties involved and put a lot of weight on that. The Aquas, Taurus and you will most likely sort it out based on right vs wrong and not even consider the emotions involved. You guys will be outnumbered.

——

Have fun! The one time I got picked for jury they settled out of court while we jurors sat in a room for two hours waiting on them to haggle it out. I am embarrassed to admit this, but I was disappointed. lol!

The Cancer Male, the Scorp and I have a bond of some sort. The Pisces is also quite compatible. We've been goofing off all day. (ok, not in court, but...). Actually, the Scorp is right behind me and I turned back and whispered "don't kick me" (he did it twice accidentally yesterday), the Cancer goes and kicks my chair and then points to him LOL We're like little kids.

So, the Pisces tells us some story of some red balloon movie he saw when he was a kid. I just picked up balloons LOL (I'm getting in early to blow them up!) He's been sharing quirks.

The older Cancer woman has come around, quiet the antagonist/humorist herself.

The Taurus came out a bit and seemed to be paying attention today, interacted with us even!

The two Aquas... still on the outskirts of the rest of the group. The male smirks with our joking, but still detached. The female, yeah, she's just there because she has to be it seems.

I'm going to bet the two Aquas's come in strong once the deliberations begin. Can't shut them up once they get started, they are pacing themselves, saving the best for last.

Taurus's are quiet in these types of situations, not gonna get much out of him, bare minimum, unless there is some kind of material interest (big money, ass, or food) he just wants to rap this up and go home.

The water signs are just glad to be away from the old ball and chain, you showed them some attention so they are going to compete.

Pisces will compete but passive aggressively. He will dazzle everyone with his tall tales.

Cancer female will be the mother hen of the group. Guarantee she puts Scorpio and Cancer male in check one day, for goofing around.

Deliberations...

Pisces was our foreman, handled the lead very well ("I" was even redirected :O). We found out after the fact he was a prosecutor LOL
Cancer woman did become mother hen.
Cancer man and I viewed things very similarly. He was a hard ass on his perceptions (as was I) and took a lot to get him to compromise.
Scorp seemed to side with Pisces in his perceptions whereas I thought we would be on the same page.
One Aqua just went with the flow, agreed with whatever.
The other Aqua, did speak up (siding with myself and the Cancer) yet had to leave due to an emergency.
Taurus wavered from being on "our" side to the other. Did participate. His perceptions were all over the place.
I tried to talk over everyone LOL

Although some of us took hard lines, no one ever criticized anyone else for their position. In fact, at the end, those who stood their ground were thanked by the other jurors who just wanted out for sticking to their principles. We did have to compromise to come to a verdict. None of us wanted to still be there today LOL As I said, it did take us 5 hours, so it wasn't no cake walk to be sure!

After the verdict was read in the judge asked if we could stay a bit so he could talk to us. He shared aspects of the case we weren't privy to and told us that our verdict was in line with what he and his staff thought it would/should be.

The judge had a sense of humor too. At one point after an hour and a half of medical info being fed to us, the Taurus said (audibly) "oh lord" as they were proceeding to cross. The judge chuckled on the bench and brought that up to us after, he laughed, he felt the same way LOL

All in all, very good experience. Had there been dif people on the jury, maybe it would have been different. How many jurors intentionally kick someones chair in the jury box while court is in session and then blame it on someone else— LOL

The Scorp and I are facebook friends and I'm going to email the DAG and the M Cancer to try to keep in touch.

We really did have a blast together!!! Esp the Scorp, the Cancer M and myself. Pisces got a kick out of the red balloon I brought him, he kept holding it during deliberations LOL

In addition to signs, we were made up of

Worked seafood at grocery (Taur)
Secretary for law firm (Aqua F)
Manager nursery (lawn & garden) (Aqua M)
Consultant (?) (Cancer F)
Coke Sales Rep (Scorp)
University athletics finance officer (Cancer M)
The DAG (Pisces)
And myself as a research/s

Oh, it WAS about me LOL

Federal civil trial. They only need 6 jurors yet they seat 8 in the event something happens (kind of like alternates). Regardless, still had to be unanimous. We did loose one juror. Personally, I think she should have stayed. Her husband was arrested and she had to leave to bail him out of jail. I would have let his ass sit there until I was done with my obligation... and maybe even longer!

I would do jury service again. Very interesting process. We (the jury) had a lot of fun actually, we all agreed in the end that we had a good time. But, we did take it very serious (5 hr deliberation, yeah, we def took it serious). The Scorp and the M Cancer and I have each others info. The M Cancer actually lives only a couple miles from where I work. I still have to track the others down. The M Cancer wants us all over for a BBQ. Might be tough for the Pisces though, he lives 100 miles away. Then again, he lives at the beach, we should really all go to his place!
