I have the best understanding with my friend, whose Merc is in Capricorn.
My other friend has Merc in Scorp in conj. with mine and our convos tend to be real deep.
My father has Merc in Cancer and there's supposed to be great understanding between us, but I hate everything that comes out of his mouth, so usually I just avoid talking to him. Despite our Mercury compatibility his Sun squares my Mercury and my Mercury opposes his Ascendant and many more other hard aspects in our synastry. So our Mercury compatibility has nothing to do with it.

For my Taurus Mercury, I have gotten on very well with Scorp, Cap and Cancer Merc. My mother is a Virgo Merc and it seems to work for the most part, but she can be quite harsh at times. And has a fair amount of anxiety, which can be somewhat unnerving for me.
Aries works, since it's semisextile. But I'm sorry, the other semisextile Gem Marc drives me NUTS lol my best friend is a Gem sun is a Gem Merc and she's always blurting out what should be kept private. But I've learned to adjust lol

Sometimes those moments happen when we don't say a word but look at each other and something beyond words, beyond interpretation is exchanged with him. Its overwhelming. I've cried several times when this happen. Mom is sag mercury too...almost like dad..

Haven't met many Scorp Mercs but have enjoyed my conversations with them.

How do I like the hard aspects? Well, they kinda ruin any chance at good relationship I could've had with my father, but maybe it's supposed to be that way.
Hard aspects are always growth. My chart is full of them as well, so conflict is a natural part of my existence, whether I like it or not.
