There is a rare alignment of Venus, Mars, Uranus, and the crescent Moon when they will all be visible in the night sky for the first time since 2008. They won't couple up this closely again until October 5, 2017. Venus and the Moon will be the brightest with Mars fairly visible and Uranus seen as a dim star with the naked eye, but which will be more visible with binoculars or a telescope. When and Where to look for the 'Dance of the Planets' The conjunction of the planets can be seen in the western portion of the late evening sky after sunset... but you should have about two weeks to capture a great shot. Tonight Last night I tried to take a pic, but it didn't turn out very well. These are from EarthSky.org It's much better, though, when you see it for yourself. Go outside and look. 🙂 More here.
