I'm sorry you are having these thoughts. Whatever is bothering you I hope you find the help you need.

Can you tell us what is causing you to think about suicide?

I want you to consider some very important factors. You taking your life would not just effect you, it will have a profound effect on everyone in your life. Especially those closest to you.

You can always change your plans. Instead of planning a death how about planning your life? Just something to think about.

What about your family? Have you considered the fact that there will be people who will miss you? What about the example you set for those around you, when things get tough take your life? Is that the answer?

Do you have someone in your life that you love and/or loves you? If so how do you think they are going to feel about your death, especially a suicide? The last words I ever told my brother before he took his life was that I didn't like him. That wasn't true, he never gave me a chance to tell him how much I love him. If only I could get that day back. I would wrap him up in my arms and tell him he was the greatest brother a sister could dream of.

Have you sought counseling? Death is final, there are no do overs. You have here and now and a bright future. Give yourself a chance to make a good life for yourself. I truly believe that you can be who you want to be. If you want to be a free spirited french girl, learn french, move to France & start a dog walking business. You are in control of your reality.

I'm guessing if you are spending so much time thinking about death, life is probably difficult for you now. I truly understand. Give yourself a chance to be happy, to obtain the life you deserve. I wish you the best and hope you plan to be around for a very long time. Hugs. xoxoxoxo

I have lost interest in everything. Studies, job, career goals that once used to excite me now seems totally useless. As even when I??ll get these all, they won't make me happy a bit. People including so called family and friends seem mean and selfish. When they need you they??ll revolve around you and when you??ll need them, they??ll just disappear. I used to have lots of hobbies like reading, writing, pencil sketching, movies etc now unable to hold my attention for long. Like a true Virgo, I'm cool and composed from outside but from inside my mind is clouded with worries and thoughts like a sky with cyclone. The only time I feel relaxed is when I'm doing work out in gym, that aerobic class and yoga make me able to sleep at night. Sometimes I get stressed and depressed so much when I think that how many more years I have to tolerate this life? I just want to end it at once but then give another chance to life and try to do something that can calm me and give some peace to my heart and serenity to my mind.

Depending how old you are, you could always get away and calm down a little bit. Road trip, maybe? See the sights and the calming countryside? Also, get better friends. There's no hope for that if you feel everyone will be the same, but if you're willing to give others a chance, get out and meet some new people. Or even gain online friends. Those can lead you down a bad path, sometime, but using the internet is a good way to find people you connect with and have similar interests in. They'll listen to your problems and be able to relate. Going out and experiencing the world would be healthier.

As far as suicidal tendencies, my scorp boyfriend and mother were both suicidal at one point. I also had a pisces friend that may have been pretty close to being suicidal. I think pisces are somewhat more likely to drown themselves in self-pity and be all whiney and depressed, which can lead to suicidal thoughts. Just an opinion on what I've seen.

Your original question suggests that Virgo may be a sign more in danger of suicide than most, and I agree that Virgo (and Pisces) may indeed be more prone than other signs to these thoughts. I am a Virgo myself and do have these feelings sometimes but I would like to talk about my Virgo grandfather (who I never knew).

During World War 2 my father came of age and so needed to enter one of the armed forces (here in England) so he chose the RAF (Royal Air Force). After this he was eventually sent out to India for three or four years and there was a chance that he might have had to fight in Burma though in the end that never happened. My father and his father (my grandfather) were apparently very close however and my grandfather did not take the separation well. Although there were other factors involved as well (like pessimism about how the war would turn out) my grandfather became depressed and had to leave his job as a result. He then went to live in a sanatorium for a time and while he was there they tried ECT (shock treatment) on him: however at that time ECT was not properly developed and was still somewhat in its experimental stages and at that time it was not properly understood that it was necessary to take muscle relaxants before undergoing the treatment. Because of this on top of everything else my grandfather had to endure the physical pain resulting from dislocated joints as a result of the ECT and sadly he finally killed himself in the autumn of 1943. If he had known or been able to believe that my father would survive the war and come home safely (which he did) my grandfather might not have got so depressed and not gone on to kill himself but unfortunately he obviously allowed a pessimistic outlook to take hold and had convinced himself that he was never going to see my father again.

@OP: suicidal tendencies don't belong to a specific sun sign. Certain aspects and placements in someone's natal chart, the one you're born with, your very own personal snapshot of the planets as seen at the time you were born from the place you were born, make it more challenging. It is 100% that people with Mercury opposite or square Saturn will suffer bouts of depression. Moon-Saturn, too. It is just a lens to see reality, and it periodically gets darker. When it does, you need to remember it's not real, it's not real, your brain only chooses to identify with homeless unhappy people at certain times, you understand? And then it's back to normal etc.

Please remember that according to astrology, the fact that you abort mission before the tests are over only makes the soul reincarnate again, and again, and again, until it learns what it is supposed to.

There are hundreds and hundreds of charts of people who have committed suicide in the astro wiki databank. There are common aspects and planetary positions that challenge the individual, however please keep in mind that we are ultimately the ones who can choose to live our lives bravely.
There are generations who have had it enormously hard and still managed to live with dignity while surrounded by disaster. You just have to keep trying and pray and try to avoid the dark places because as Nietzsche said, when we look into the abyss, it stares back at us with an immense force that we as humans may not be able to handle

@Wgamador The Bridge is one of the most depressing documentaries every, are you really gonna invite someone who's considering suicide to watch it? really?

When someone hurt you then there could be 2 wise options: Either you can forgive & forget or you can Retort Back. Both will make you feel free and light from inside. But if you neither retort back nor forgive, then your bottled-up feelings will lead to depression. Few characteristics of Virgos like restrained emotions, over-analyzing and then, as someone here said, blame themselves for things as opposed to blaming others make the depression severe.

But first thing should be first: what makes you happy?

I know people for whom Power is the source of happiness. Ruling others makes them happy and they never think that —its lonely on the top??.
Then, there are people for whom the basic source of happiness is money and the luxurious materialistic things money can buy.
But then there are some people for whom love is the most important thing. Giving love and getting love in return can make them happy only.

Unfortunately I belong to the third group. When I get love and care of people in response to my love and care then other things of my life like my career, goals, hobbies etc seems great too but when people, I really love, hurt me then these things seems useless as well. And this world seems not a good place to live.

But I am so touched by the response of all of you. You took time out of your busy life and thought about me, console me, advise me. I am really touched. There is still hope that this world is not that bad place to live.

I unlike many people here would gladly talk about Astrology with you. lol.
A huge variety of aspects can make one sensitive to pains/critiscisms; Such as bad pluto/saturn/chiron aspects to the mercury/moon/sun/venus or mars or even have saturn in one of those focal axis',nc, mc, 1st, etc

I have moon square saturn. I'm a Sagittarius Moon and Sagittarians are supposed to be very emotionally expressive when happy. I am to an extent, but daily I have those melancholic moods which is very similar to the moon in capricorn. For any other moon in sagittarius unaspected by a planet like saturn, they'd probably find me to be incredibly depressing and unable to understand how I get into such low moods sometimes. I think it all depends really. I'm sorry your sad. I recently got out of a horrible depression, which I was hospitalized at a mental hospital and now am okay with the thought. Before I'd cry when I thought about it how depressed I was. Its something we all go through from time to time and I hope you don't do anything irrational about feeling this way because in truth, there will be happy days. Goodluck, best of wishes and faith for you!

For the OP, this is just a little thing that might be cheesey but I always hear the chorus of this song playing in my head when I'm trying to pull myself out of painful thoughts and any feeling of hopelessness. It's kind of catchy and uplifting. I feel myself moving forward when I hear it.

Keep Your Head Up - Ben Howard
(Chorus at 1:09)
