You think dating the same element is a good idea?

Like a Aries with a Sagittarius, or a Capricorn with a Taurus. They same the dating the same element is a good idea, but I feel that things between two people of the same element can be a boring, or too similar on a level that is almost annoying because no one will come up with something new. I mean they say that if a Fire sign wanted a true challenge or someone they would spend the rest of their life with would be a Air sign. And with Earth signs being with Water signs being a very emotionally loving but stable relationship between the individuals. In other words- Would you have dated your same element or your opposing element? The only example I could think of where same element relationship going terribly bad was my parents relationship Mom-Libra, Dad-Gemini. I kinda hate the both of them because they annoy the living crap out of me. They never stop talking. They always talk about things that have no meaning and stuff that I honestly don't care about. But I do get along well with my Aquarian nephew who tends to leave me be. But enough about me, What do you guys think?

I doubt it would work for me. Actually, I've never experienced mutual attraction with other Earth Suns so I don't have any experience dating "my own kind". I've never dated Water Suns either.

If I were single and the chemistry was right and other things that matter to me, then element or sign wouldn't be an issue but while I know lots of nice Earth and Water Sun people as acquiantances (usually with Earth or Air Moons), I sure as hell can't imagine being romantically involved with Earth or Water Sun men. Hell no!

SingASong41. Interesting observation. My own experience is that I'm more inclined to express emotions around Air or Fire and I just seem more animated for lack of better wording, and feel more relaxed around them. It's 50/50 if I sense the other person is very Earthy but I clam up if I sense the other person expects an emotional connection with me and expects emotional expression of me which Water Suns or Water dominant people more often expect of me than other people. The Water Suns I've become comfortable with opening up to have had to wait a good decade+ and they've all had Earth or Air Moons/Air or Fire Mercury.

i agree with you but mine is the other way around LOL

just something i have noticed in real life. My husband is dominant fire/water though, but it's always consistent with dominant fire.

I guess i always need inspiration and they are inspired by me. It is mutual, and binding.

To Singasong41: Yeah I can kinda feel that. I dated a Virgo and sometimes I felt she was never really comfortable telling me she loved. I felt comfortable with it at the time. But she didn't. Now these days I'm honestly not comfortable telling someone I love them, unless they're family. Anyone else, no. Though a Scorpio woman did force me to reveal how I really felt about her. She was a bit shocked since she was dating someone else, though she liked long before she ever met this person. I didn't know she liked me. And right when I go to return the feelings back, it was too late. But Water signs do have a way of prying into your emotions. Which I kinda admire and hate, especially if it is too soon to say it. But later on, yes I could admire it.

It depends on the element. I think water signs go well with other water signs because we are sensitive and do a lot of things based on our emotions. We are secretive and just takes a lot for us to open up and sometimes we do not get the support or understanding from signs of other elements. I've found the most rewarding relationships to be with signs from the same element. I haven't had a connection like that with a sign from another element.
