Has anyone here actually read War and Peace? If you have, could you tell me your thoughts on it?

I thought about getting it on audio for a long road trip but I'm not taking the trip anymore...boooo! I'd like to do it that way because I have this dumb thing where I'd probably feel pretentious carrying it around and reading it anywhere other than in private...like it's book porn or something haha.

Big fan of Tolstoy here! Although Anna karenina is my favorite and if you haven't read any Tolstoy before, read AK first. You jump right into the action so the amount of pages is less daunting because you get involved very quickly. War & Peace isn't as reader-friendly at first. But still highly recommend it. His short stories are good too.
