"You Deserve Better"

You Cancer men can be so confusing sometimes. I've been having major issues with the father of my children...to the point of having to get a restraining order against him for all of us. We aren't together, and have been divorced for a while (3ish years).

Cancer man I'm talking to (and have been for 7 months now) wanted to know how court went today. I told him, and his reply was, "I’m sorry you guys are going through this. You deserve so much better. All of you."

I said, "Thank you." But, I wanted to say, "huh?" I thought he was the "better". What do you guys think he meant by that?

Umm, wut? Why are you over analyzing this?

Because everything he says and does right now doesn't match! Words don't match actions and whatnot. He acts so aloof, then occasionally pours his soul out to me, telling me how deeply he feels for me. I just want to know for sure I'm overanalyzing this time, you know? Lol
