Cancer man- how do they approach?

I matched with a cancer man about 3 days ago out of the blue. Havent really been laying attention to my dating apps. And the minute we started talking was non stop witty banter, laughing, jokes, puns and we randomly planned a date for my bday 3 months away. It was so refreshing. He said he had to go to bed due to work and he would talk to me tomorrow. Now as a scorpio I started to overthink I maybe came on too strong. But I shrugged it off (but kept thinking about it) I was for sure certain he wasn't going to message me, so of course went along my day at work. And around 4 he messaged me asking how my day was. We chatted for a bit and I apologized if I came on too strong the night before, I was overly excited and he said, "dont worry about it.. I came back!" And we messaged for about an hour then nothing the rest of the night. Its already 1pm today and I havent heard anything. I havent dated in So freaking long, maybe I'm just out of the loop. But is this how cancers are?

I wouldn’t have apologized. Just take it easy, let him pursue you. Cancers be on it like white on rice. Scorpio and Cancers go together really nicely too. This should work on paper. Cancer men love strong women and they like a chase.

I agree with this. The cancer is kind of chasing me, but as a busy mom of a 5 year old and a full time job, I am the more detached one. My job and child exhaust me to the point I don’t give two shits If a guy don’t call me back 😫 If anything I appreciate the extra quiet time 🤣🤣🤣

Same sis. By the time I get in all I want to do is sleep. I have my lonely moments here and there but I’m grateful to have my goals and life that keep me extra busy.

The date was just an impulse thing he didnt say it was set in stone. We bother merely said it would be fun. I am chill, I was just merely asking a question. he ended up texting the next day and we talked for a little bit about work for like 10 minutes. and he stopped responding and dissapeared for 2 days. I didnt text him at all during that time, and he sent me a message saying he wasnt looking to settle down or get in a relationship right now and hes sorry he wasted my time. Not sure why it just came out of nowhere when we were literally texting about work and common interests, and I haven't heard from him again since. That message put me off, he didnt even ask me what i was looking for and we never talked about it. Oh well. That's over with.

Its funny how I came into dxpnet to ask about the same thing, i also matched with a guy on a dating app like 3-4 days ago, he is a Cancer and Im having the same issue, like if I text him, he will talk nonstop, but he don't initiate the texting he just did it the first time., but by previous experiences they would hold themselves until they see what you're about. cuz they hate being mislead and played. or if they feel afraid to start catching feelings too soon, they are very guarded of their hearts. I'm aqua. with cancer moon. so I kinda have those traits too. so I don't know how this will play out lol. I'm waiting.
