In this thread, we will talk. We won't whine, complain, accuse, assume, predict, analyze, mind-read, manipulate, or otherwise thwart any statement of fact.


My name is Alex, I have a job that I love, I just got out of a relationship.

I enjoy doing anything that stimulates the senses. I'm a very busy person and I do interesting, unique tihngs, and I do not come to this website often, but I do like to read about new and interesting things, so I hope to find those type of things here.

I know how flirting works I'm not looking for that in this thread. Just to gleam something interesting from cancers (or other signs) here.

I have a strong feeling that cancers are uniquely smart. Scorpio and Pisces may be more expressive with their emotions, but I believe that Cancers know some strong truths, which is why they are so reserved. So please share them in this thread, just remember the statement at the top. I like to build creative and useful things

I am a true believer that everything happens in life for a reason. Whether we understand the purpose RATM doesnt matter, eventually the reason will make itself clear or known.

I also believe in Karma, and that what you do onto others will come back at you and to you Ten fold. What you give to the Universe, is what you will get back.

I believe you can help someone as much as your heart desires, but unless and until they are ready to be helped and want to help themselves, your efforts are wasted on someone less than deserving.

I also believe that unless and until you are completely and 100% honest with yourself, you will never be able to grow as a person. If you can't say out loud to yourself what you see is wrong with yourself, admit your faults, mistakes, errors, and misgivings to others ... or areas that you can, should or could fix, work on, or otherwise eliminate, you will never truly grow or blossom as a person.

I believe that people are highly overrated, that is they highly over-rate themselves. If anyone was to come to earth now, they'd believe that technology was the dominant species. And in many ways they'd be right. I'm beginning to work for machines, since they seem to be the future. Humans are so predictible that they require little effort to appease or figure out. Some machines add more value to the world and others than do flesh and blood.

I believe that people walk around in a fog and are blinded to what holds true value... do values even exist anymore?

And I'm not talking about church values, family values or moral values... just the basics. Like having conviction and a sense of pride (not ego) in what you do and who you are. Taking responsibility for yourself and your choices.

I'm very busy, I have a lot of projects on the go, I have nice stuff... but only because I'm a Cancer and I need security. I'm not materialistic at all. I buy what I need and buy good quality, because I want it to last.. but you won't see me upgrading ANYTHING for the newest and latest until the thing I have now is about to crash and die.

I don't find too many people like this.

I am fascinated with human nature and behaviour. I put myself in various social settings just to observe people's interaction and dynamics. If I'm feeling social.. I'll talk to anyone just because I'm curious.

Variety is the spice of life... I hang with the rich, the poor, criminals, religious fanatics, good girls/boys and whores... just as long as they are real. I hate fake or superficial people. I'll play their game to observe that social dynamic if I'm in a situation... but I won't revisit it.

People basically disgust me... but we are all kinda connected so what does that make me? I think I'm more enamoured with the idea of people and community and universal love, than actually participating in it. Do I disgust myself? Sometimes... yes. But as OD said, at least I can take a good long look and I have a choice if I want to improve myself or my behaviour. Some stuff I'm just stuck with tho...

I think social networking will be the downfall of civilization

I believe in a power greater than myself. That my attitude determines my happiness and that to have a friend I need to be a friend.

Cancers not expressive with their emotions? Get outta here! Heh. I find pisces to be the far less expressive water sign. While a cancer can be reserved, it's all over their face.

The male cancer is usually really smart. I find them to have big dreams but very realistic.

Another thing i've noticed is that while they can tune in to others' emotional state they're not judgmental/discriminating enough to pick people who are worthy of their time. They always assume the best in people, which I adore about them, but I see it bite them in the ass time and time again. I hate it :/

this is an interesting statement...

the people i give my time and energy to, I know many would not deem worthy...
what I get back from these is usually intangible

Agressiveness from the ladies turn me on. Raw agression. If a lady just argues with me, thats just because their afraid to tell me how they really feel about me. Thats something I usually gloss over. But when a girl is just wildy agressive, like trying to hit me or something, then I know she's being herself. Or the opposite, if she completely and utterly ignores me, thats something I really like. If she did not care for me, she would treat me casual as you do strangers.

I'm no cancer but I'm in love with one. I'm an Aquarius with a Scorpio moon. This topic is so intriguing I can't resist. So here goes...
I see the very best in everyone. I have a friend I know will hurt me when all is said & done but i just hope for the best. I'm so naive in love & life but I am learning. I have been blessed and cursed with a big heart.
My cancer and I are polar opposites. What confusing creatures you cancers are. I'm a social butterfly whilst he is private & closed. I can read people like a book but the shell of a cancer is impossible to penetrate.
Like someone stated above i believe everything happens for a reason. Although I'm traditional when it comes to love and relationships, my values& beliefs are extremely liberal in true Aquarius fashion.

First and foremost, not everyone is smart.

Speaking as a Cancer, my pov is one of catching the small things and adding them up. I deduce that being such an incredibly sensitive person, to all shifts in life and people, (often an uncomfortably sensitive) you can't help but take note because of how you don't want to "go through that (feeling) again"...or the opposite for the good feelings.

We wait, while others dive in, because we are picking up each little artifact along the way that most would step over because we are adding it to the scale that lies on or decision making for whether or not we want to continue on that particular path. As the scale tips, we watch. We can talk and share, have a ball, but we never stop watching or "sensing" the scale. After a good deal of deliberation, should the scale tip in the slightest either way, is where we make our decision, and thus throw ourselves to the fate of how we will be "feeling" in the future.

I agree so much with you, and having you said that, I have to put in how much I love being a cancer. I know that all the things that have hurt me in the past only makes me stronger. And as for every cancer out there, one valuable thing we have is that no matter how awful things are outside, we can always hide in our little crab shell where no one can step on us. Even if we are hurting so much, people on the outside will seee us in control and in perfect shape. This is an advantage we have and we have to worship it. Feeling so much, brings pain, true. but it is a pain that makes us wise. Knowing this makes my pain cease every time.. It makes me feel strong, and hopeful

Hi my name is thecontender and I'm a cancer.
Much like our anthropomorphic avatar the crab, we must reach solid ground in order to reach full maturation.
I love women who are demure and leave room for my imagination to run wild. Even more so I love women whose actions match up with my imagined forecasts.
I refuse to deal with anything that isn't long term. Whether people or objects I make investments that pay off long term.
I'm as manly as they come but I honestly "get" women and their energy rejuvenates me in ways that I can't begin to describe.

I can't speak for all, but I have a crazy fascination with life and death and anything psychological and will research til the cows come home. I know there is more to our existence than meets the eye, and learned that just because someone is a soul mate does not mean they are your forever after.
I believe sometimes these relationships are like contracts for soul growth only and we meet people for reasons only. Nothing is coincidence.

BUT I believe we all have someone out there who is bigger than a soul mate and for a deeper purpose.

Don't discount the good ones out there. To do this is to blind yourself to and deny what could be an amazing connection.

You will know exactly what I am talking about when you meet them. Sounds like it may not have happened yet...but rest assured, it will.

I have just been sucessfull in defeating ALL of my enemies. it took me about 3 1/2 years but I can say that they are defeated. But that has only happened because I have defeated the enemies within me.
