Does astrology mess up your perception of whats...

Does anyone feel like astrology messed up your perception of what is really happening in a courtship? I talk to a cancer guy for a little while now and I think if it werent for me reading these boards on how slow it is how they disappear and all that I woulda jumped shit along time ago.. But instead I keep following these damn guidelines and he keeps coming back.... I dont know if this relationship will ever lead to anything I feel like he plays games with me... I think next time I'm going to try hard not to find out what sign they are so I can focus on the person as an individual.

I think that astrology helps to understand why people act the way they do. I think of it as a cousin of psychology. The more you know the better you understand, and can perceive things. Maybe not always 100% correct, but you are not walking in the dark.

It's kind of weird how accurate it seems..

Just outta curiosity.. Every time you have used astrology to assist you in getting to know someone was it accurate for you? And as cancers are the things everyone says about cancers true like the insecurity the taking a long time side stepping disappearing stuff ?

I believe that astrology might point you in the direction of why some things might or not be happening in a relationship. I wouldn't say it messes up your perception but it does give you an insight as to someone else's possible perspective. We don't always understand what someone is trying to say or how they say it. Astrology can help with that by giving you an idea of how someone communicates. Also it can answer some questions you might have about yourself. The more I do know about me, the more confident I am at being positive in my relationships.

For me yes and no. I do not use astrology to get to know a person. I use it for little things. Will this person understand me on a psychological level, on an emotional level. Do their values, the ones deep down reflect my own?

Astrology can not give you a dead on answer, but it can give you enough that you will be better prepared. Here is an example: I have an Aqua male friend, he gets irritated a lot when someone repeats the same thing over and over again. Looking into his chart it did mention that he can be easily frustrated by such things.It does not mean that he is a frustrated individual, quite the opposite, but there are subtle nuances which I would not have known about. As he has never voiced that aspect of himself.


Everyone side steps and disappears but for different reasons. This is not dependent upon a sign imo. But yes we go recuperate, think, heel, sleep away from the universal poking. Things written about cancers is true, but the reasoning behind those actions many people do not understand. Cancers are not insecure its more of a shyness. Unless you have a solid moon placement or something other that overpowers that element.

I think sometimes it does help. Although everyone is diff, it does give a good base on things generally speaking. I can say though, that at times I think it has made things worse because as a Cancer I tend to over analyze anyway and I have found that having the insight in the astrology aspect, I have found I don't tend to be myself because I tend to be on guard, heads up, 'can't do this, better do that', etc.

I will add though, having dealt with two Scorp men who share the same DOB (only day, not year) that the first one put me through a wringer and spiteful. The second one zinged me BUT because of the first Scorps antics, and knowing what to look for and recognizing what I was seeing right away, I carried through marvelously. Didn't flinch. His reaction was special haha
