Im getting my friend...Inglourious Basterds movie (he lost his copy) and a gift card to Bass Pro. (which he wanted)

Ask them what they would like...or pay attention and see if they mention anything they need/want etc..its pretty simple

You should know their likes and dislikes if they're truly your friends. Just do not forget the birthday card with a sweet and thoughtful message inside. I know I appreciate the thought behind the gift and the card shows that. It's sentimental.

A Parade and a statue...

Take them out for a couple of drinks or better yet have them come over with friends and surprise them with a hilarious pinata. Be there to let them know you're glad to have them in your life. It's the little things really.

The best present I have received was a well thought out result of something I had said in passing.

I always talk about how I am 'Ill bred' and not well mannered and friend got me the "The Ladies' Book of Etiquette, and Manual of Politeness". Totally useless in reality, but it is my favorite book on the shelf.
