As far as being a cancer. What is something you do that would make people guess your sign.

Me? I think because i am all about kids. I coach kids soccer and baseball. If i see a child get hurt on tv,neglected, abused or killed. I will literally cry all day. It sucks, but i do. AND I Love to cook, and always invite my friends over to eat if i know they are hungry.

I'd say it would be my actual presence when calm and listening to someone which would give it away. A few people have said they find it easy/soothing to talk or be with me. Then again that may just be a water thing.

Probably wouldn't be able to tell if you just met me though, or see me when I go out and socialize. My Leo ascendant figures very prominently in those cases, and I could feel it like an aura when out and about.

Hey there! I'm a leo rising too...yay!!

The first time I saw my crab's room he had a picture of his neice on his nightstand and shelves and shelves just full of things he collected when he was a child. He showed me drawers of old stuff that he's saved. He also had a few family photo albums on his book shelf that he loved to show me. If I had known about astrology/read into it, I without a doubt could have guessed it.

Haha nice =) I'm not sure how it is for you too since your Sun and Rising are compatible already, but for me my Leo Rising has a lot of influence on my life. Since it's at odds with my Sun sign, I'm like a different person when just talking alone with someone versus when I go out, socialize, or when people first meet me. It's probably easier to handle the difference for you. For me, it sometimes feels like I'm sabotaging myself when I'm acting like a Leo (which is how I go about in my life) when I'm not like that inside.

And yeah, that was another thing I forgot which you brought up. You can tell a Cancer right off the bat by either his room or his home. What you'll find in that home are a bunch of things that he's held for a long time for sentimental reasons. In fact, he may even forget a lot of the things that he's put there. A lot of things dealing with the past will be around him as a reminder. It's the same case with me, even though I try not to look and reminisce about the past, I still don't want to throw those things away if only because they are a link to happy memories.

I used to think about the past a lot but now I only focus on the present and future. That being said, I still keep those things around just because I don't want to lose them.

I can totally respect that. I actually like to save a lot of things as well...a have a humongo rock collection and several little items that sincerely mean a lot to me from the past. In fact, I wish I had saved more. I thought it was so cute and charming how he saved all of these little trinkets and pictures and I loved talking about my/his childhood with him. Brought back so many great memories. I love a person who can value a memory or a thing so much that they hold on to it to always remember what it meant to them. I think subconsciously it made me feel like even if we d

*** I think subconsciously it made me feel like even if we did break up, he'd always hold me in a special place or at the very least, keep something of mine or that I gave him just to remember what we shared.

I know personally, even if a relationship doesn't work out, I still like to remember the good things about that person and hold on to that. Why be bitter over something you couldn't control? 🙂

My boyfriend is a cancer, and he is very easy to talk to and a good listener, it must be a water thing. I've never been more comfortable talking to someone. He is the best.

Cancers rock 😉

Aww thanks, you're not so bad yourself =P I actually think it may be due it being one of the "receptive" or what they classify "feminine" elements (earth and water) that make such good listeners. If you have important placements in those elements in your chart, people would find you easy to talk to and confide in. Earth elements would would make you feel more "stable" and reassuring in their presence, but a water element would have you feel more "soothed" and understanding. At least that's my theory =D

Wow, that's pretty cool. I also would love a quality in a person that I'm with who can treasure the little moments and who commits the things we would do to her memory like that. It makes me feel that I would be someone special in their heart. I have that quality in myself too and remember many things others forget, but that's not always a good thing =/ When you get a broken heart or feel betrayed by someone, you don't want to remember *anything* about them. You want to get rid of everything that reminded you of them, and that's what I end up doing if things end badly. Remembering the good memories with them only makes it tougher to move on for me.

I'm a leo asc, cancer sun and aquarius moon and the first paragraph (and your previous post on this thread) could be said for me aswell. I also have venus in leo.
Also, I used to think alot about the past but that changed around to me thinking more about the present and the future at some point in life .. though I had a massive sweep-out and got rid of so much junk that I had, so I only have a little clutter left over that represents the past and even that is soon to diminish too because i'll be getting rid of more soon.
DarkCancerian, it's very therapeutic .. I told myself that the material doesn't actually mean anything like the memories do as it will one day be lost or decayed like everything else around you. I've felt much more free from the constraints of the past and any associated negative emotions since!! 🙂

Whaaat?? No way! I'm Cancer sun, Aquarius moon, Leo ascendant, and Venus in Leo too! That's crazy...is your Mars in Capricorn too?

And yeah, I know totally what you mean. Like I said I used to think about the past so much to the point where I felt like I was living in it, thinking about how better things were or how I had all these opportunities back then, or how I was happier. It was only when I was a teenager (around 16-17) when I realized how that was negatively affecting my life, and ever since then I'd try not to ever give myself that luxury and from then on just focus on the present and future. Focusing more on the future definitely helps me in moving on (whether going through deaths, or end of relationships, etc). I still haven't gotten rid of my past things (for some reason I don't want to take that final step) but I can just imagine how therapeutic that would be as well.

Leo rising here too 🙂

I'm not maternal at all, but I love old family pics/stories and doing my genealogy.
